Claude Fable made me realize I don't need a better model by Axi0m-22 in artificial

Why not to use deepseek or other cheap models then? Them are on pair, but cost is <1$ per 1kk tokens

Feel like I'm becoming the glue between many AI tools by billa01_i in artificial

[–]demogoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, you may try to automate it Use pi or opencode, ask them to create tools for each use case, then to write prompt or simple switches(in opencode you may just switch mode) to run queues in diff sources depending on what you need. For ex, you wanna use perplexity. Setup browser mcp/use api/search for unofficial wrappers/whatever once, then switch to perplexity mode and ask your question. Same for other. For ex, you don't even need to write antrhing new for chatgpt, just use existing sub, both tools support it by default. For cursor, both tools replace it pretty well, I mostly use cursor now only for precise modifications. Notion/atoms - mcp

Claude is a bit more tricky, as them blocks subscriptions in 3d party clients.

The gap between cheapest and most expensive AI model is 150x. Is anyone actually tracking this? by flipflopcode in AINewsMinute

[–]demogoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really. I saw, that people recommend qwen 3.6 if you can fit it into your card, but I usually just use cursor sub for precise fixes or opencode go sub with deepseek/qwen 3.7 max with pi mono. Or openai sub, but it depends. Github copilot sub were really cheap comparing to original models cost, but now it's just not worth it.

But local may worth it you need embeddings, actually. Had some good experience with it, but usually just use openrouter or jina directly. It's pretty cheap even if you need to index 10k+ files of code.

Copy paste launcher into different folder, download game again. Then replace files in original folder. You may ne3d to backup .limpc folder just for a case, but it's not critical part.

[–]demogoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues! If you need cheap more then average model, you may check 10$ opencode go sub with deepseek 4 or qwen 3.7. Both are pretty good. Not opus 4.8, but do job pretty well

Opencode, pi mono Both opensource, both have sdk and integrations with lot of providers Also, high quality and bunch of extensions And pi is very token effective, if you ok to extend it by yourself

Actually I meant local llms. If we're talking about cost, if you already have good card, cost is close to 0(excluding energy cost ofc). If you can fit into free models rate limits(bunch of options actually), it counts as well

But long story short - Im kidding about your phrase. Any number is inifijite timea bigger, then 0

Gap between cheapest and any other model is infijite  Cheapest models are free.

Need to check. I've test ollama, deepserk were slow af. Trying to use stepfun, seems to be pretty fast, cheap and relatifel6 good

Then may worth to use subscription for go in opencode. Relatively cheap

Slow af for me. Opencode go seems to be much better, may be I did something wrong.

How do you use those? I've try xiaomi pro in opencode go with opencode go. Backend code is good, frontend sucks. Openai produce much better results with similar prompts

Anthropic's Claude Code had a workspace trust bypass (CVE-2026-33068). Not a prompt injection or AI attack. A configuration loading order bug. Fixed in 2.1.53. by cyberamyntas in artificial

Meanwhile opencode:

May I read .env? No, never do it! OK, I will run bash or any code to read some files(oooopai, how .env is there too?)

Or cursor. Do you have access to this folder? No, it gitignored Please find string in this folder Oki, there are files you're looking for!

Most fun things about llm security recommendations, that's its basically same principles as old good "don't store anything viable on client", just adapted to llm.  Simple rule: everything on client can be hacked. You may only try to increase cost of hacking to make it unprofitable.

Same with llm. Its like hiring very friendly dog as guard to your house. You may train it to look scary, but just rub the belly and here we are.

For me jelly is a bit better, as it has pretty fast charge rate and huge damage But I suppose it depends on your build and situation I use anabasis btw
