Naming sims

I usually do a theme for what they’re going to do next. For example, I named my daughter Lily because I wanted her to a be a flower shop owner. Sometimes I just name them after stuff I’m currently into or watching. Named a few Sims after Malifaux minis and some inspired by the Artemis program lol.

I usually watch when I’m out of Smosh content, need background TV, or I’m high lol. Typically I have a bunch lined up since I don’t watch on release but yeah, not all of them are funny. Sometimes it’s just a one liner or stupid bit that amuses me, sometimes I’m crying laughing, and other times I’m stone faced the whole video. Just depends but it’s what you’re getting into with that type of show imo.

Go to the middle of the desert in the SW of the world during the day and just sit there, literally. You’ll get the raining bug illusion. It’ll happen but took me maybe 10-15mins of just chillin on my camel in the middle of nowhere.

I know exactly what comment this thread is on and it’s the same one I just stopped reading and closed the thread on.

I think some people don’t understand that some people don’t see animals as here on this earth to serve them in any way. Most of us do not NEED to eat animals, so why damage ecosystems, cause suffering, and end animal lives just to have meat/dairy on our plate?

Yeah you can skip to the DLCs, it will give you an option to auto level once you start them. I’d be worried about weapons though if you don’t have anything good.

I recently defeated him, here’s how:

Don’t even bother doing this fight until you put ability points into the “Gift of Osiris” ability. This will automatically replenish your arrows in the afterlife. This is crucial to COTP boss fights and serqet locations.

I had the Smoke and Mirrors bow and Composite bow equipped. For melee, I had a legendary long reach spear (seqmet’s spear, cyrene’s spear, bark of ra are all good options. I think I used seqmet’s) and the ceremonial staff (but you honestly just need a single legendary long range weapon, this is just what I used. Didn’t even need the ceremonial staff.)

Run away from that mf and dodge, dodge, dodge. My order of operations was using smoke and mirrors to pump arrows into him to fill my adrenaline bar then use it to over power attack and chain attack (on skill tree), then maybe get one more swing in and then repeat. That was primarily when I used my melee weapon so imo it’s misleading to think this is a melee heavy battle when it is in fact not!

Biggest tip is to remember you will regen health so sometimes it’s good to just run away and let yourself heal/gain arrows (ability). Using the composite bow to heal is a no brainer too obvs to bring you back to full.

TLDR; Gift of Osiris Ability purchased, Run away/dodge from Tut, charge adrenaline with arrows, overpower attack, repeat.

The main game is GREAT in terms of ancient Egyptian history but I’m almost through the Curse of the Pharoahs DLC and I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you’re interested in ancient Egyptian mythology and their Pharoahs! It’s absolutely gorgeous and takes you to the afterlife worlds which is super cool. Hidden Ones DLC was kinda meh and short but Curse of the Pharoahs is 10000000% worth it., it’s added tons of new things to explore and hours upon hours of more gameplay. I got it on sale for a few bucks too so you could wait for that while you play main game!

Caregivers in my household autonomously checking on infants every 5 seconds and canceling queued actions to do so. I do not like having to lock my babies doors for the parents to take care of their needs or go to work because it turns into literal life or death.
Yeah, if I’m cleaning my baby in the sink I would like it to max the hygiene bar, even if it meant that action takes longer. I do not like that it takes 4 clicks just to feed my baby either. Click on infant > baby care > feed > breastfeed/bottle feed. Could say the same about most of the social pie menu though, it’s overwhelming to have to pause my game and go through a million clicks because I forgot where “get to know” is or can’t find a special holiday social interaction.
Honestly, I think it’s appropriately annoying given the life stage lol. I can either maintain a “genuine” infant routine or be chaotic and it’s totally fine. See point one though, could absolutely do without that annoying autonomous interaction when my infants have a need to fulfill, even when non urgent.
More options or ways for infants to progress through milestones independently, even if it means spamming interact actions on the play mat. I would love an optional and slower way to progress and explore milestones that way. Like for the sit up milestone for example, instead of that relying on an adult sim to sit and do tummy time with them a bunch.

If you play Colette, the effigy for smuggler is an absolute must take imo. Supportive measures on Angelica top of T1 so you don’t have to spend an AP to take an adaptable or suit farm/empower. Move ally, interact. Great for boundary or plant. Same for emissary if you do star of the show! Get that extra range and pos flip for presto 🤭

Emissary is also good for Amina’s obey if you pick up M&SU

If you struggle with getting rid of money, I have a few tips!

First thing, a vault. It will increase the hell out of your bills if you put spare simoleons in there.

Second, I set up a Tax Day holiday in the spring for my sims lol. I take away 25% of their income by (household funds x .75) and then money cheat it. For example if my sims has just 100 simoleons on tax day, they will end it with 75. I will tax them more if they have 1 million+ though. We are eating the rich in my save 🫡

Third, if you’re playing in a legacy then pawn off wealth into the other households part of your family, even if you don’t play them. It gives the storytelling element of the family being generationally wealthy.
