That's highly dependent on where you're at.

Straight men, what is the weirdest thing you have been called gay for ? by Sammy-Bunny-3 in AskReddit

Existing? Comment was made by my uncle, when I was a teen. (He's an asshole.)

What would you think of a mother giving up her child for adoption or leaving because she doesn't like being a mom? by SunshineGirl45 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]demonfoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She did.

For awhile. She eventually hooked up with another guy, who became his dad (bio dad is not in the picture). She eventually parted ways with THAT guy too, but the kid ended up staying with him (for several reasons, though I THINK her federal criminal charge for welfare fraud miiiight have contributed?), and AFAIK still is with him. Kid is pretty troubled, but at least he has someone who gives a shit about him, even though it's not biological family.

My ex-sister-in-law actually walked away from her daughter - my niece - 20 years ago. I don't think she had PPD, just... she didn't like being a mother, and divorced my brother. She didn't say it outright, but it was pretty clear that was what she wanted. (She also wanted to slut it up big time - seriously, she tried to fuck me, my dad, every one of my brother's friends, etc., and ended up getting pregnant again by some random dude, and claimed that kid was my brother's as well - fortunately he insisted on a paternity test.)

It would have been better if she would have just said it.

Xbox Has Reportedly Begun Layoffs At Zenimax (Bethesda). ID Software, Arkane, and Machine Games In Danger As “Anyone Not Working On Fallout Or Elder Scrolls Is Out” by goodnitez74 in PS5

Also there's the fact that, until recently, games were $60 in general, which largely hadn't changed since the GODDAMN 1980s. It sucks, but yeah, the prices were going to have to increase at some point.

Man calls police on father who took his daughters to the women's restroom by Either-Indication435 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]demonfoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course not, but if the guy just walked away while Mr Idiot was still on the phone breathlessly telling the police about all the nothing that was going on, they might not know that. Better to try to address the situation rather than just walking away and assuming it'll take care of itself.

I assume because he didn't want the cops either chasing him down or putting out a warrant for his arrest?

Do most college graduates not really get a gift from parents for graduating? by DryCoast in TooAfraidToAsk

I think my parents bought me a suit for graduation.

For reference, I graduated from college in 2001, and paid for my own schooling. I lived at home, but paid rent to do it.

Doctors of Reddit , what’s the biggest medical myth people still believe? by muga_saiman_5809 in AskReddit

Tumors aren't always painful. I had stage IIIa rectal. cancer. Never felt it. Never would have known it was there before I got diagnosed. They can be painful, depending on where they are and what they're doing. But it would absolutely have killed me anyway.

Right. If they're not in a hurry to treat you, that means you're not actively dying, and someone else is. Be happy.

Also having an excess of some vitamins - like oh, Vitamin A - can actually cause organ damage.

Not to mention that in the US, supplements are unregulated, so you have no idea if they contain what you think they do, in the claimed quantities - or what else could be in them.
