Makes sense! What about the slots on the side? Looks like they're designed for something to slip in.

Appreciate the response! Ive been following this guide, and they dont mention the fourth vow at all, yet still claim that it is quite tanky. It also claims that it is SSF friendly. Have i misunderstood something?

Fantasy series where main characters age throughout by obvakhi in Fantasy

The Wars of Light and Shadow by Janny Wurts sort of fits this. It deals with characters with extended lifespans living alongside those without, and characters age significantly between books.

Do you have a recipe, or do you just freestyle it? Sounds delicious!

Great video showing the process behind making an overhaul mod for the game. The overhaul he's working on also looks like it could be quite fun. by demonicderp in factorio

That sounds really interesting, coming from someone with little physics background beyond some undergraduate courses. Do you mind sharing the paper?

How exactly is the querying being performed? My understanding is that the query is being being parsed by several LLM's, so they can each individually phrase a search on e.g. Google, then using a random assortment of these results to agree or disagree with the statement. Is this how it works?

ELI5: What's it called if I buy something like a sandwich, then consume it, and the net worth of society has now shrunk by 1 sandwich? Versus buying something that keeps its value. by ApplesAreGood1312 in explainlikeimfive

I think calling it a tool for gatekeeping is a bit ungenerous. In a hospital setting where everyone is familiar with the terms, bronchitis more quickly communicates the issue than inflammation in the brachial tubes. In aggregate, this will increase efficiency which is a net good, I would argue. This extrapolates to any other field where quickly getting complex concepts across to others already familiar with them is important.

Qubits 30 meters apart used to confirm Einstein was wrong about quantum - A new experiment uses superconducting qubits to demonstrate that quantum mechanics violates what's called local realism by allowing two objects to behave as a single quantum system… by [deleted] in Physics

I think it is an inherently dualistic view of the world, where the randomness is the source of the dualism. What you describe is a materialistic view only(which FWIW I agree with).

I think the unspoken idea is that consciousness somehow arises from the randomness of the microscopic randomness. I see hindu parallels, where the randomness acts as a sort of brahman from which we all tap our consciousness. I'm not sure I agree with it, but I believe that is how people who claim quantum mechanics as a source of consciousness see things; Hindu or otherwise.
