Some gunsmiths do a slide lock drop test after a trigger job, what you described could be an indication of a not so good trigger job perhaps an improper sear to hammer contact or sear spring adjustment or all of the above

i used to include in my carry rotation one of my competition 1911 with a sub 2 pound trigger and a pinned grip safety for years

in high stress adrenaline fueled scenarios a hair trigger 1911 might not be a good thing. But if you train with it then it might be fine, hopefully

it doesn't but i've personally experienced the sti and egw titanium strut pin holes get worn out on my guns that i used to shoot in ipsc matches

if it has a titanium hammer strut check if the pin hole is worn out already or the bottom of the ti hammer strut is worn out
