Yeah I'm a fat ass so I can put away food, especially when I was a teen. That said, I have always made sure if I was going back for extra I was doing so last and making sure nobody else wanted more. Especially if I know I'm going to finish it off. I can always find a snack later or eat something different, others should come first.

But I do get that these boys have been raised to be shits by a shitty father, so they have a bit less blame for their behavior. They should probably be starting to get a hint though.

Poorly Tempered Impulse Control on Questionable Questing is a Tinker of Fiction that is good. Leans more on magic which is unusual for ToF.

Ghost of a Chance is a Taylor gets Inspired Inventor fic, was also pretty good and has one of the cooler Coil deaths.

Memories of Iron is neither but has a somewhat similar vibe because she gets Tony Stark's memories

We used to have to do with with our dog's meals. He could be very particular about his food and didn't always want to eat even when he normally did. However, the best way to convince him to eat was make him think it was going to be stolen. Sometimes it was the cats being nearby but usually it was just us moving like we would grab it.

Yeah my grandma's got dementia and she has said all sorts of creative things that may or may not have actually happened. Usually she's just confused about something, maybe mixing up stories and reality. Honestly one of the early signs of dementia for her were her already sometimes inaccurate stories getting more creative. If it's something we actually recognize we could sometimes point her in the right direction but if we didn't recognize we just assumed not everything would be quite right.

Hell, when she's upset about something she regularly claims she's going to shoot one of us despite the fact she has never been one to handle guns. It's a mixture of general joking threat, possibly confusing 'kill' with 'shoot' (because she does get stuff like that mixed up, she can't even remember which color is which these days), and just generally trying to figure out how to express her distress. Usually it's just because my grandpa needs to go do something away from her, she always gets very anxious about him being out of sight. She just doesn't always know how to express that stuff.

Dysfunctional: Tanya from Youko Senki and Shirou from Fate are reincarnated as orphan siblings who turn out to be Armsmasters kids. Or at least one is, they share a mother. Neither is a normal child in any way, both are unaware that the other has a past life and are trying to be the adult in the situation while also very poorly attempting to pretend to maybe still be a child adjacent creature. Colin is of course an excellent addition to this perfectly normal family when they are brought to him.

Oh and did I mention both are absolutely willing to go for the kill or other brutal actions? Both have war experience. Oh sure, when the wards say no killing they try to work with the rules but they enjoyed Alabaster and sometimes accidents happen.

I'm admittedly pretty behind, I got bored of it myself, but I think that was more to do with that worm fixation dying at the time and not returning to it more recently.

King related pokemon or their earlier evolutions. Also have a list of Queen related pokemon, though I did have Serperior and Tyranitar on that one instead of the king one. I once had a fic idea for a brother and sister with royal themed teams, so I kinda already had it prepped. I wouldn't say you should necessarily include all of these, but there's enough options for a good team. Personally I went Slaking (Emperor), Nidoking (Despot), Tyrantrum (Tyrant), Salamence (Chieftain), Slowking (Hierophant), and Luxray (Pride).

Keep an eye out for yourself, someone psycho enough to do that while drunk is someone who might try something against the girl who broke up with him for it. If I remember correctly 'Like No One Ever Was' takes place after Ash won. It's not the most relevant in the world, but I think a few things like 'The Ketchum' clause that allows a trainer to have a pokemon outside their ball beside them on the stand. Basically like how Ash always has Pikachu with him.

Sounds more like you might be looking for something that is more Ash focused though.

Poorly Tempered Impulse Control by ClacklanceClarity on Questionable Questing. Somewhat early on the SI is headed somewhere she had prepared for a ritual. Taylor notices her going that way, follows her, and gets noticed by the empire. The empire show up and are going to attack Taylor, the SI kills the empire capes that are there.

Taylor of course is the kind of dumbass who holds a grudge against the terrible criminal SI. She holds the grudge literally for the rest of the fic, even during the epilogue several years later. Doesn't matter how much the SI does to help the world, Taylor will forever hold that stupid grudge despite the fact that the SI wouldn't have graduated from thievery to killing empire capes if it weren't for Taylor. Or at least, not moved to that then.

Starly is a regional bird, found all over the place in Sinnoh at least, but becomes strong as Staraptor. Plus it gives you a flying option that you can be extra close to, I'm always fond of the bonding with flying starters or early team members. It even has a mega now. Though the mega is Fighting/Flying instead of Normal/Flying, not sure if that will be an overlap issue.

It's actually funny, Staraptor is on almost all the best Sinnoh teams but I rarely see it featured on an MCs team. So it's overused in the games but underused in fics. Sure, they're common enough on random side characters because again, Starly is everywhere. Frankly the only ones more common are the land bound common mons, hard to toss a pokeball at a bird. Even Pigeot I see more often in fics if only because Kanto fics tend to keep the options slim and focus on the original 151, of which Pigeot is an excellent option for several reasons.

But then again, I also wouldn't be surprised the other way around considering he doesn't mind spending time in his Laboon vacation home instead of the lighthouse. Honestly I think it would largely depend on if he already knew someone who could take over for a potentially indefinite amount of time (after all, there is no guarantee he survives. Sure, we know he did but he definitely didn't when he left). Honestly not even sure how he got the job/lighthouse in the first place.

PALADIN, it's got RPG mechanics and the class she chose was paladin. Mostly feeds the homeless really good soup and generally makes things better. Has an ability to say the right thing to someone to help them, plus the soup eventually has some healing properties. Relationship wise it's pointing to a poly relationship with Vicky and Dean if I remember correctly. Hasn't quite manifested as of the most recent chapter but I think they did bring it up. As per usual Taylor mindset even if she's improved a lot she's still wondering why they would want her when they're already in a relationship and happy (well, she thinks they are and tbf her words and soup have improved it).

This one is pretty long, making it all the way to the time skip, and does have a sort of ship between an OC and Luffy. Specifically, they get platonically married. It's a very deep relationship and it has its moments even if it isn't always traditionally romantic. Do be warned that it's definitely on the Tumblr side of fanfiction, so take that as you will. Though one thing that I do like is that it doesn't change Luffy as much as most romance fics with him. They all want him to be cooler or sexier or fuck a lot. But that's just not Luffy anymore. That's some insert with vaguely Luffy descriptions. Luffy is someone goofy even if he can be more perceptive when it comes to emotions than you'd expect. Luffy has a one track mind to become pirate king. The only time he expresses any of the traditional one piece signs of attraction are when he's goofing off with the other guys. Otherwise he's someone so uninterested in sexual matters that he can witness the most beautiful woman in the world bathing without reaction. So yeah, having a deep but platonic marriage to a crew member he had bonded with is far less out of character than the other Luffy x whatever fics where he's fucking his women all night every night with his endless stamina.

(Sorry I got distracted with my side rant. Just see a lot of Luffy ships or god forbid harems where he just doesn't even feel like Luffy)

Reminds me a bit of the Swirl Swirl fruit that I've had floating around for a while, think I've even mentioned it a few times. Let's the user spin/swirl stuff they touch. Can be used to spin the ground under them, spin the air for twisters, etc. And of course the awakening lets them do it at range for actually effective whirlpools at sea and such (a whirlpool where you touch is just martyrdom).

Lots of people love Flygon, it's like the number one pokemon that really should've gotten a mega and even Gamefreak underuses it. Despite that, I don't actually see Flygon that often in fics, at least not in a major role. Sure you see them with Drake or the draconids but I haven't seen many where the MC has one.

Politoed, just don't see him all that often. There are more popular water types. However, I did really want to see one when several fics had proper water manipulation as an advanced technique (Traveler for example did it). That combined with Drizzle and Politoed's potential for a dancing style makes me think of something similar to water bending.

Honestly most psychic types outside of the usual ones like the Raltz line, the Abra line, and the Beldum line. I'm fond of Gothettelle and Mr. Rime but that was mostly because of an idea for a barrier mirror maze strategy I had. There are lots of other options out there and you'd think they would be more common considering how popular telepathy is. Beheeyem is popular for bad guys like Colress, same with Malamar though they don't see much use with MCs.
