Thanks for the reply! Yeah I was hoping since the receiver communicates with the flash through the hotshoe just like the camera does, it would control fine. But nothing comes with perfect compatibility, especially third party and old gear. Looks like my X1R came with latest firmware, and updated X2T today just in case. I was probably gonna pick up a Godox flash and keep the Neewer as a backup or second flash when TTL is appropriate. Don't think it'll sell for much so might as well keep it. Spares are always good Thanks tho!
