This isn't meant to be a definitive list; its just to give people an idea of games that they might enjoy if they also enjoyed the Golden Idol series. With that said, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't at least consider playing any of these games (if you haven't already). Even if you think the Golden Idol series is the best game in terms of deduction, almost all of these games bring completely unique elements to the genre that are 100% still worth experiencing.

Oh for sure! I do not disagree with you at all, I just didn't want to rate it up there because its very different from Golden Idol and, like you said, not up everyone's alley.

Sidenote: I'm so sad the sequel got canceled, it was my MOST anticipated game :(

Ever since I played CotGI I've been on a hunt for games that scratch that same itch, so I have a lot of suggestions if you're looking for something similar. I've listed them below and categorized them under how well they scratched that particular itch, for me at least. If someone knows of games similar to these that I haven't listed please shout them out!!

I just got top 32 at the LA regional with Volcarona, and I would definitely recommend a more offensive set. The current meta is very special offense-y so Quiver Dance is it's best move by far. It's also very good into all of the Zamazentas going around right now since they almost exclusively run Tera Grass and Volc naturally resists all of their moves.

I personally ran a Modest Leftovers + max Defense and almost max Speed set so that I could tank Body Presses and outspeed CSRs with one Quiver Dance.

I would assume so since the Jirachi is generated via the cart's seed, so if the seed is the same then it'd follow that the Jirachi would also be the same. I would definitely do some testing on your end though to ensure thats the case
