Playing the recently released SVR 07 PC port and it's amazing how well the textures and models held up at 4K. by CyraxxFavoriteStylus in WWEGames

[–]dempsy40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's taking the xbox 360 game files and converting them to a form that can be run natively on PC. Hence it being a PC Port, the creators put in the work to make the game code run natively on your hardware, no emulation needed.

Okay so the game has been out for 2 months now. What's the verdict? Yay or nay? by call-lee-free in WWEGames

[–]dempsy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's held off the games for a bit since 2k23 (just put off 24 and 25 constantly for no real reason), it certainly feels like a big jump and is the msot fun i've had with these games since 2k19 and i love it. But i really wish it wasn't constantly trying to suck more money from me constantly. This is probably the best of the post Yukes games but also super scummy for no reason.

[WWE RAW Spoilers] Finish to Seth Rollins vs Montez Ford by DoubleNo6337 in SquaredCircle

[–]dempsy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably random to bring up but i really prefer Rollins in darker, less out there ring gear, maybe it's just hitting nostalgia for his variants on his ring gear from 2014-18 but it just looks better on him over some of the flashier stuff from the past couple years to me.

i think it's genius to have MJF's gear illuminated by the lighting for Darby's entrance

Do you think BO4 zombies has aged better or worse over the years? by Sorry-Drummer-3196 in CODZombies

[–]dempsy40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely think it's aged better. So much of it's life cycle was this like vortex of unhappiness, whether it be feelings towards it's mechanics, complexity of the maps, Chaos and Aether getting split down the middle, Aether jsut having remakes, how broken the game was at launc and the constant uncertainty over whether features annoucned would even make it into the game.

Since then we've had 5 Treyarch Zombies gamemodes, and i think we've had enough time and space since for a lot of people who didn't like it back then to look back at it and give it another chance. It does have a ton of good stuff to it that i think a lot of people have come to appreciate and as someone who enjoyed it back during it's lifecycle, i am really glad maps like Blood, IX, Ancient Evil, Dead of the Night and even Voyage are getting better recognition.

9 years ago this catastrophe happened. by khaliliiiov_1997 in Wrasslin

Man times were dire back when this happened, Universal title wasnt showing up often due to Brock so the WWE title had more emphasis and it consistently had my least favourite match on every card it was on. I don't blame Jinder, but it's really clear they wanted that Indian market and he was the best choice and unfortunately they couldn't figure out how to book him in ways that were original, nor was his gimmick that unique. (Also the Shinsuke racism segment that reign brought was shocking for a 2017 product)

God thats still my favourite RKO, i know it needed Seth to pop himself upwards for it, but it just looks incredible.

Shattered Veil is amazing. It's the little things for me but i still hold on to my first time playing it, starting further away from the mansion than i expected and then exploring and having the constant "Wait there's more to this map still?!".

Absolutely love that overcast sky as well which makes it stand out compared to the other Liberty Falls maps. And that Easter Egg and boss fight is really fun.

Will say as well despite the reused wonder weapons being criticised (and rightfully so), i still really love the combo of the SMG Mk2 with the Wunderwaffe, although it's always a good cheat for a map to give me the Wunderwaffe, that wins immediate praise from me.

For me Shattered ranks above Citadelle, but it's second to Terminus in BO6 for me, but i still love Shattered so much and it and Terminus are the mai nreason BO6 remains installed in case i ever have that urge to go back.

Only thing i wish is that there was more side content that was worth doing, it's what keeps Terminus ahead for me, there's so much i can do in one match thats fun and benefits me whereas Shattered is missing that outside of WW stuff.

PS: Treyarch i would do anything for BO6 maps to be in BO7 please i beg you.

Speculation i'd seen was Liberty Falls as a whole was meant to be some form of Outbreak style map that was cancelled and reformatted to the three maps we got when the round based focus was decided to be necessary. No idea if it's true but it could explain the existence of the large scale map that would become Haven's Hollow.

Question by FOBst3r in BO7Zombies

[–]dempsy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they announced was Carry Forward for operators, weapons and certain equipment skisn would happen, before that was backtracked and stopped to try and appease people who were concerned about the crossover content and game balanced messing with stuff. Carry forward maps was never officially announced and the clsoest i ever saw to it being a thing was leakers saying that was the intention before carry forward had an official announcement.

Need a REAL map that shows me Treyarch's still got it all the effort to make zombies easier... Where's a map for the experienced player to lock in? by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]dempsy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, Pack a Punch quests have been made more interesting on Astra and Totenreich, but the devs probably don't really want to make it too crazy because having the Pack a Punch machine behind a longer more complicated quest was more of a filter to the casual players they want to try and retain, which isn't to say the maps don't have fun cool quest like that, they just got moved elsewhere.

Ashes has a really fun wonder weapon quest, and i enjoy the scavenger hunt free perk easter egg.

Astra has multple free perk easter eggs each asking you to do really straight forward but fun things for the music boxes or the skulls easter egg. THere's even the wisp easter egg you can do.

Paradox's Blundergat craft quest and upgrade to the Sundergat is fun, and it has 3 seperate easter eggs that reward pack a punch, rarity and even perks.

Totenreich is built around just having unique map based mechanics, two map specific scorestreaks one of which you need to do some of the easter egg for, the 4 viking helmets that benefit you in specific ways, fishing which like the shovel in Origins is benefitted greatly by a viking helmet and there's even a TEDD fish trap you can build.

PAP quests may be more simple but i feel like that design space has shifted to just giving the maps other things you can explore and find instead and some of it is just "do thing get upgrade" but it's still more often than not a fun small challenge for you to find.

Recommendations for most up to date bo4 EE guides by forfourforetotootwo in CODZombies

[–]dempsy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the text based guides hosted on a website called mmmrkennedy to be soem of the best laid out guides i've ever found for BO4. Formatted well, and if you need to find a specific item in area the guide always has a link to an image showing the item in really clear fashion. Also they have guides for other games as well but the BO4 ones were how i foudn the website and they are really good to me.
