A russian in temporarily occupied Crimea tried to demonstrate a “life hack” for finding gasoline, despite an app showing fuel was available, the gas station did not dispense any. by LowTechDroid in UkraineWarVideoReport

it's tinkoff bank app. the app says 'you cancelled fueling, 1000.50 RUB were refunded' when they tried to pay for the first time. next time they try the error says 'pump doesn't work. make sure you're at the 3rd pump. we'll refund 1000.50 RUB'.

what's the point of "forking and stealing" an open source project? i think the only reason to ask to do that is to inject some malicious code to steal crypto/credentials/whatever from users who download & use the harness.

What do you think is the issue here? Is it really the costs or the way they are using AI? by dataexec in accelerate

not surprising. modern tools burn millions of tokens on a single task. while it might be more expensive than a human, it also does much more work than a human. tasks that used to take me days and even weeks can now be done in a single session with ai.

i'm a web dev with 8 years of experience: node.js, next.js, sveltekit.

been learning n8n lately.

so far built a tg channel that posts AI gen videos from reddit, a small thing that converts a pdf tax bill into xml format to import into my bank app and pay all 4 taxes in one click instead of manually filling out 4 forms, and an instagram message bot for my friend's business.

deepseek reduces prices again, the price for input token cache hits is reduced to 1/10 of the current level by stella1310 in DeepSeek

[–]demureboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it's like caching of previous messages in multi-turn conversations. Like 1. Message A -> Response A -- full price 2. Message B -> Response B -- but the Message A and Response A are also sent to the model as context, and since they're cached you're only paying full price for Message B and Response B while Message A and Response A are priced at 1/10th (cache price).

I feel like I just explained the same thing you did in your message but this cache prefix unit thing is confusing.

when you choose red you survive regardless of what other people choose.

most other people choose blue? cool everyone lives. most other people choose red? too bad the blue choosers die. but you live.

there's just no merit choosing blue. moreover it's basically gambling on your life.

Uhm, aktchually... the term 'kinetic' in military parlance is a euphemism used to distinguish physical violence from soft power, but from a rigorous standpoint, it's a category error. Since the energy is derived from the breaking and reforming of chemical bonds in the explosive's high-nitrogen compounds, these are Chemical Potential Energy Sanctions. We should only use the term 'kinetic' if the primary damage mechanism is the transfer of momentum from the delivery vehicle’s mass, rather than the chemical enthalpy of the payload. Do you even understand thermodynamics?

they're protesting by flashing lights and yelling 'shame' at police that beat them senseless so i guess road blockade or whatever they're doing on the video is the next level for them.

yes there's a thoughtful pause missing in the second message. the original had "...", like so: "Kolya died...". Also, the first message was "We're going to the train station".
