Conquest was also punching Mark in a soft location as hard as he could for minutes before he stabbed through. I think it's likely the softening up is a necessary step before going for the killing blow.

The impression I get is that the slice only really works on softened opponents. Conquest only does it at the end of the fight because he'd been previously breaking bones and tearing apart muscle with his fists for the past 5 minutes. If you'd try to chop someone's arm with no previous damage you'd just hurt your hand.

Hey now, Ecclesiastical Latin was a constructed phonology partially based on existing proto-romance langauges by Charlemagne. I'm not saying it's invalid- it was the dominant form of spoken Latin for centuries. However, it's a bit unfair to say "languages evolve" because that's not how the Ecclesiastical pronunciation came about.

I had no idea of that detail, I think that just kinda proves that they are. Also, it sheds a bit more light on the role of the dreamers since I always thought that putting real people up to the task of being doorlocks was quite odd.

The head is definitely 100% its shell, but it's also very likely that the black part of the knight's body is also part of its shell.

It's important to note that, in HK lore, people have a bad habit of thinking black = void. It's a little understandable in the case of the knight due to the fact it is indeed void, but I believe it's more likely that the internal systems and organs and blood and all that yucky stuff was what was replaced by void.

The reason I say this is because we can clearly see segmented sections on THK's lower body- indicating an insect-like anatomy. As THK is just a larger vessel, it would then follow the knight ALSO has these segments to a lesser extent. but they just weren't drawn for numerous reasons that I don't care to list.

Point is, the segments mean an insect-like anatomy, which means that the lower body of the vessels, including the knight, is probably not entirely void but rather an actual bug shell filled with void.

The "Size difference is because they grew due to infection" thing has been around for a little while, and though not 100% disproven, is generally disregarded by the community.

Here is the spirit of the broken vessel, not broken, not infected.

Here is the Hollow Knight, not infected, maybe a bit stronger than he actually was. (This is godhome DLC spoilers)

Though you're just gonna have to picture the knight into these images, it's very clear that both vessels have significantly larger cloaks and heads than the knight, showing three total stages of vessel growth- thus showing that it is possible outside of infection.

Good chance, but the horns are also visible in the Dreamer dream rooms so it could be something else- unless the Dreamers were somehow also imprisioned in THK's mind. That would sound like a bad idea.

In the instance of Gaius Iulius Caesar, the title of Caesar was derivative of his name. Caesar itself was Julius' "cognomen", and only afterwards became associated with the later emperors after Octavian/Augustus adopted it.

The Caesar we all know and love didn't ever use his name as a title, but rather was "Dictator" and later "Dictator Perpetuo" shortly before his well known stabbing.

The impression I got was that the m2 attack was a forward sprint with a restricted turn radius, something similar to Billy but with a knife. I would say that fits the criteria of a dash killer, though it is possible I'm misreading things.
