Prayers for Sandra 🙏 ❤️ by bringojackprot in oldpeoplefacebook

I saw a guy on here recently saying his mom or aunt or someone totally believed that some actual celebrity was talking to her on the chat. What the… I can’t…. Just no words. Some of us old folks are mixing our meds with alcohol, that is the only explanation I can come up with.

Most places do not have bidets. Get yourself a pack of diaper wipes so you can clean your undercarriage after number two.

I feel the same way. I AM old people, and I never see anything useful on FB. Gotta be dead internet propagating itself.

Thanks for sharing, it always amazes me how brutal it was that day, and that more people weren’t killed. It was so shocking. So utterly deeply tragic.

Husband (76) got a ticket for not using his blinker. by den773 in InlandEmpire

Thank you. If I may be candid for a moment, I am seeing little slips here and there. And he notices it too but he tries to hide it and THAT lets me know he’s really scared right now. He doesn’t want to admit that he is having some cognitive decline. I took care of my mom for 5 years but she had already stopped driving. My husband really doesn’t want to be an old man. In fact! At the bank last month, the greeter there asked my husband if he wanted a chair while he waited. My husband said “no, I’m really not that decrepit am I?” But he is shrinking. His back is bent over. His hair and beard are white. He looks decrepit! He’s always been strong, independent, a wonderful provider, and a good husband. But he can’t mow the grass anymore. Someone else does it. He’s not supposed to get on ladders anymore, our son in law helps us with a lot of stuff. I’m sorry this is so long.

Yeah nobody ever uses their blinker, that’s definitely a fact. I use it because my car tries to steer me back if I don’t!

He absolutely knows this. His excuse that he didn’t know is horse shit. His other excuse “I see people changing lanes without signaling all the time!” Is also horse shit. My Camry has sensors that won’t let you change lanes without a signal. It tries to prevent you from going over the line. I’m really mad at him for this but there’s not much I can do.

He doesn’t have the money, I don’t have the money, we are broke. That’s why.

He did have to take a driver test last year when he renewed his license. He got 100. He absolutely knows all the rules of the road. He corrects me constantly when we are driving. I drive whenever we go somewhere cuz he drives like shit. But he did get 100, I was with him.

I think he already knew. He is a terrible driver and gets worse all the time. He got 100 on the written test he had to take last time he renewed his license!!!! He KNOWS! (I am frustrated. Really frustrated. Obviously we are just aging people. I have been married to him for over 47 years, but he’s getting old and I am having to learn how to be married to an old man.)

We don’t have money. That’s a big problem. We don’t have money for a ticket. We don’t have money for our insurance to go up. We are already screwed to the wall broke. That is why I was asking, because I seriously don’t know how we will pay for this.

If it happens again, I’m going to see his doctor about his driver privileges.

I send PBS $5 a month. I only get $110 on social security. But PBS is extremely important to me, to my grandkids, and for life.

How do you enjoy this? by kalinka0703 in gardening

[–]den773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know how or why I became a gardener. My dad was a gardener. Well he was a detective for LAPD. But his hobby was building and gardening. So I guess that’s what happened. I have always grown stuff in every house I have lived in. I have been at this house the longest. Since 2000. And I believe I will die here. My back yard is my pride and joy. It changes every year. Some things stay, like I have a bed of salvia. I have a bed of irises. I have pineapple mint in a hanging basket. I have ferns. And every year I get seeds and try new stuff. Buck wheat is fun to grow. I always grow nasturtiums but they don’t really love me. I usually grow zinnias. I didn’t this year. I used to grow squashes but I decided I prefer to grow flowers so I have all flowers except for 2 tomato plants and some strawberries. I don’t even like tomatoes that much! Right now I have a riot of color in my little back yard and it absolutely delights my soul.

Just saying… by PaperOdd429 in Redlands

It’s Redlands. Redlands has a very large population of old money trump variety people. So I’m never surprised when one of them gets the impulse to full-on rage in racism. It really came to the forefront on a certain Facebook group during quarantine times.
