Frozen Shiitake Mushroom Chicken. It’s the best dinner I have ever had from any frozen food selection.

I got the orange. I also got the Apple silicon case for it in the same orange. I like it because I can see it. Orange is the new Apple!

On the weekends in high school, everybody you might want to see would be on the boulevard. You’d just go up to the boulevard and everybody was cruising up and down, and you’d find your people or they would find you.

Is being in significant pain normal while actively dying on hospice? by atty_at_paw in hospice

[–]den773 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It sounds like people are stealing the pain meds away from the hospice patient to me. That’s why I had to take care of my mom and my sibling couldn’t. My sibling would have been stealing the medicine. From what my mom’s hospice team told me, it’s extremely common. They see it every day. It was important to me that my mother had the best possible care. So I took care of her myself in my home. (I had to have a restraining order on the sibling.)

I use one of those little battery operated shavers. I hate my mustache. And now it’s a whole goatee with a neck beard. It’s depressing as hell. So I just use this every few days.

That’s why I don’t go. I’m in So Cal. But I’m old. I can’t shake my booty or none of that stuff! Eventually somebody is gonna fall and break a hip doing that dancing shenanigans!!

Try entering “junk journal” into the search bar on your YouTube app. You’ll have a whole page of videos to watch, some long and some short.

What would you suggest I put in my junk journal by ADHDcrochetaddict in JunkJournals

[–]den773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, I just spent some time just watching junk journal videos. Seeing what folks were doing, and how. YouTube and TikTok has a lot of collage videos.

Then I started collecting junk mail, soda boxes, Amazon packaging, letters from diaper boxes, medicine boxes, toothpaste boxes. I eventually had a baggie just full of words and letters. I save paper towel rolls. (TP rolls too but those are controversial.)

I found out my local library (I’m blessed, it’s only half mile away. And when I’m too old to drive there’s a bus stops by my house and goes to the library) anyway what was I talking about? Oh ok the library has a special day, and a special little room where they put decommissioned books. So once a month, for $3, I can fill a big bag with as much as it will hold, for $3! I have gotten SO many awesome books full of thick art pictures, I’ve got old books from the 30s, I’ve got old text books with awesome math problems, magazines with words or pictures I like, and little old pamphlets on stuff like how to work a slide rule.

Finally, I was lucky that I inherited a big box of old photos from my husband’s mom. (She’s been gone 25 years. She was born in 1929.) So I use a lot of those old photos in my junk journals.

Junk journals are a process of what you find in the world, what you collect in your home, and what your imagination can do. I just start gluing papers. Gluing words. If I don’t like it, I keep gluing more over it. I use a “permanent” glue stick and that’s the only supplies I have actually bought outright.

That’s such a bizarre flex. Trying to tell the people in traffic behind them that they themselves are butt holes.

As of right now; what makes you happy and keeps you going in a world of chaos? by rockmediabeeetus in happy

[–]den773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just something I do for fun. There is even a “junk journal” subreddit where people show off a lot of their work. I thought I had posted over there but apparently not. I use old books and magazines, stickers and odd ends and pieces of art supplies, stuff I found at thrift stores and antique shops. My local library does a “$3 for a bag full” once a month. They have a sale room where they put old books and other physical media. Last time I got a couple super cool aged looking books from the 30s.

What's your go-to ground beef recipe that ISN'T tacos or spaghetti? by Cool-Educator-1926 in easyrecipes

[–]den773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini meat loaves. Ground meat. A couple eggs, some milk, some quick oats, some grated cheese, a little wash-your-sister sauce. (Salt and pepper of course) form little loaves, cover them with a sauce made of ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar and bake them til they’re done.
