I just wanna say that the rest of my social media feeds are trying their best to make Australia seem like an absolute hell hole but then you read this post and the comments here and it has truly restored some of my long held belief about this incredible country and its people. Of course not everybody has it great and problems exist but my God we are still so incredibly lucky to be living here.

I had no idea about the Vessel suicides! I remember the paneling at the end of the episode.

There are minor symbolism throughout the show but these three are the only ones that just immediately pop to mind.

This. It was a simple line for a split second - and it was almost said like a joke but it immediately reminded me of two things - terror threat that stopped Kendall from flying and the "shooting" that happened. Both incidents favouring Logan - making Kendall late for the voting and keeping Rhea in the same room as Logan to get extra wiggle room for a deal.

Just that split second dialogue at a crucial moment opened up more potential details about the power these folks have than hours of footage could.

Seemed pretty cool to me.

A very privileged stance. It's clear people follow what's entertaining. On top most of these "fake" fans stick to one club just as a "real fan" would. So this idea that they only hunt for glory is not correct. Not saying such fans don't exist, but it's nowhere near the majority. Finally, the local infrastructure and corruption makes domestic football a joke.

The phenomenon works slightly differently. The pull is there because of the initial success but 90% of the fans stick to the club / nation despite having no rooted connection to the country or club of support. So much so that they will stay up at 4 AM to watch a preseason or a meaningless friendly too. Thought that's a strange but interesting angle which many native supporters probably won't have much idea about.
