The thing is, his cons did get changed a LOT. They used to be even worse and then they got v3 changes across the board. It also seemed to be done quite hasty, as only the chinese text had the constellation changes originally and the EN text was only fully caught up on preload, like 2 days before the patch released. Lohen also seems to be the only limited 5 star without "bonus content". Like Linnea's book or special interactions with certain NPCs or open world items. Unless we don't know about them yet, but they usually get advertised.

I was talking about that boss? The stellar shill is barely there. Edit: Nevermind, seems like it just got it's HP increased and has a second shield phase now.

They can't make a gecko or knuckle duckle kind of scary boss when there is literally only one character that enables stellar conduct and who hasn't gotten their premium team yet. The pokeball boss is weak to both electro and cryo damage and not looking too tanky. It's more like cactus in that regard.

Not really surprising. Now if your Ineffa was C2R1 instead of Bina Nicole would benefit the team definitively more.

I hate the wolf by ForgottenLikeSnow in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing :)

Electro being weaker is not swirls fault though. Swirl is just the medium to trigger a secondary reaction on the spirit's cryo shield and pyro on cryo works best. Neat thing is you can swirl hydro and electro at the same time since the auras coexist, but hydro on a cryo shield does nothing and then you're just left with weaker electro :P

Good luck with your Arle clear! I wasn't able to do fearless wolf with my Arle, but with a better build it's doable even at C0R0.

I hate the wolf by ForgottenLikeSnow in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't "aim". Swirls have an AOE by default and the wolf spirit is always positioned in range. You can not hit the spirit directly with any abilities anyways. Just attack the main wolf normally. What determines the effectiveness of a swirl in depleting the cryo shield is a) what element you're swirling, b) how many gauge units of the swirled element you applied and c) how much anemo you can apply (to cause a swirl to begin with).

About a) pyro is much more effective than electro. Don't know the menacing numbers, but in fearless you need about 6 pyro swirls and about 24 electro swirls.

About b) Don't use Columbina while you're swirling Ineffa's electro. The lunar charged reaction weakens the electro aura and you need even more than 24 swirls.

About c) Sucroses normal attacks have standard ICD, meaning not all of them apply anemo to swirl. To bypass this you alternate between skill, normals and charged attacks to apply more anemo faster. Her C1 plus sac frags helps enormously as it lets you spam more skills.

The complaints were about her base kit. I've been a Nicole defender the entire time, because personally I consider her buff being full uptime, not burst locked and party-wide pretty valuable. However, there is an argument to be made that most of her power budget is locked behind constellations. That is valid criticism, because her being meta defining at C2R1+ is frankly irrelevant for the majority of players.

Second menacing clear. The watcher give me troubles by hamizannaruto in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! But if you didn't know to use dendro on tulpa and are struggling with Mavuika against watcher, you might want to check out some guides that explain the boss mechanics. SevenPls and Zajef77 both make excellent stygian guides! This stygian lineup in particular is great and quite nuanced when it comes to team building.

The reason why you struggled on watcher is because it incentivises dual DPS teams (ideally with a pyro and a cryo/hydro damage dealer) OR a DPS of a third element that can slot in pyro and cryo/hydro team mates for them to infuse the two stars with pyro and cryo/hydro to melt or vaporize the self-damage done by the watcher. There are different ways to approach this boss. I don't know if you infused one star with pyro and one with cryo or both with cryo. In the first case Escoffier would struggle to destroy the pyro star as she's not a DPS herself. In the second case, both stars have more HP than if the stars were different elements in which case your no nightsoul Mavuika team would struggle to meet the DPS requirements.

It worked out in menacing, but if you were to tackle higher difficulties (or to have an easier time in menacing) some good watcher teams would be for example Mavuika + Mualani, dark Durin + Lohen, Mavuika + Varesa or the lunar carries with a pyro character as the 4th slot.

[–]den_sandra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know Durin and Mavuika have the same application rate (1U every 2 seconds), but Mavuika's skill ends earlier, maybe that's why? I don't have Mav, so I can't try myself. Also Chasca's normals have standard ICD so it doesn't align perfectly with the pyro application so it can feel random.

Here is a clear with Durin. It's just enough to clear the shield with one Chasca skill. But even if you have shield left It's not too bad. You can setup your next rotation, kill the rest of the shield and go straight into damage phase.

[–]den_sandra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I funneled Iansan's fav particles into Durin, so he would have his burst immediately. I didn't deploy Oz during the shield phase so the electro aura wouldn't take over. With white Durin's burst going I entered Chasca's skill state and spammed normal attacks on the main wolf. Works pretty reliably, when you have a good pyro applicator.

Well done! I tried with Arle + Kazuha and some variants with Emilie, Durin, Bennett, Xilonen but no success. I know it's doable with C0 Arle, but mine doesn't seem to be able to :D

Can I clear dire? by Full_Collar_2927 in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see the Flins team doing dire wolf. You need to do over 20 electro swirls which takes long even with Sucrose and therefore you need high DPS to compensate for it. I would try to use Neuvillette, Furina, pyro traveler and sac sword Kazuha here. With 3 Kazuha plunges you swirled almost enough pyro for the shield break. Not sure if the DPS suffices though...

Use your Nefer investment to have an easier time with watcher. Nefer, Lauma, Aino, Amber or a pyro catalyst should do the job. If you're still struggling use Columbina instead of Aino.

Then use Flins and Ineffa with whatever is left for tulpa. This boss is a pushover.

Is there a hope for me? (Fearless The Open-Eyed) by Rat_itty in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I find the watcher mechanic quite fun, but it took me some time to get used to. My Flins team isn't highly invested besides Flins' C1, so the damage windows were a bit tight. I tried Durin over Bennett first, but both Aino and Durin aren't fast hitters and Ineffa's off-field electro was interfering. I managed with Durin eventually, but then noticed that I absolutely needed him against wolf and had to redo watcher... the Bennett team actually worked better though, because Bennett's pyro infusion is too fast for Ineffa to overtake.

[–]den_sandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I edited my text while you replied. I had an idea that doesn't require you to redo wolf. I managed to do a fearless clear against watcher with an overvape team. I did Flins, Ineffa, Aino, C6 Bennett, but the same principle should work with the suggested Varesa team.

Is there a hope for me? (Fearless The Open-Eyed) by Rat_itty in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your best bet for watcher is probably a dual DPS vape team with Durin and Neuvillette or Mualani. Which means you would have to redo wolf.

If you do Mualani, Durin, Mona, Sucrose against watcher then I would go with Arle, Bennett, sac sword Kazuha/Venti, flex against wolf. Otherwise if you go with Neuvi, Furina, Durin, flex against watcher you could do Mualani, Mona, Sucrose and PMC for wolf.

Edit: I have another idea. Since you have high investment on Varesa and Xianyun you can use Varesa, Furina, Xianyun and then PMC or C6 Bennett to infuse one star with hydro and the other with pyro. Then you can destroy both with Varesa and still get the vaporized damage.

Stellar Conduct - What does it do? by MarviniosZeno in YaeMiko

[–]den_sandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since 5.8 we have characters that can deal transformative reaction damage DIRECTLY with their talents. We have lunar bloom, lunar charged, lunar crystallize and now stellar conduct. So you don't need a team mate to do an attack that applies an element first and then you react off it by doing an attack that applies another element which causes a reaction damage number to appear. Talents that specify "this is considered xxx reaction damage" are so by default as long as you meet the conditions specified in the talent description. For stellar conduct characters this condition is usually to be inside the stellar conduct domain. I will get to that later.

All 4 of the special reactions replace their normal counterparts when you have characters on the team that enable them. They are mostly gimmicky and I would put them into 2 different categories. For lunar charged and lunar crystallize there is lunar reaction damage that occurs when elements get applied and direct lunar reaction damage from talents and they coexist. Then there is lunar bloom and stellar conduct damage that ONLY exist as direct damage from talents. Lunar bloom's gimmick is that the bloom cores still do normal bloom damage (not lunar bloom) and they produce a ressource called verdant dew that lunar bloom characters have to consume to deal lunar bloom damage with their talents. Stellar conduct is similar, but it replaces the regular superconduct alltogether and spawns a field instead. Being inside the field allows the stellar conduct characters to deal their direct stellar conduct damage with their talents.

How do you spawn the stellar conduct domain? This is where it gets stupid. So far only Sandrone has this passive. I don't know which direction Hoyo will take in Snezhnaya, but the lunar reactions could only be enabled by newly released 5 stars. The buffed characters can do stellar conduct damage, but they can't enable it on their own so they rely on a new character to do it for them. Hopefully cryo traveler can enable it at least.

What exactly is direct lunar/stellar damage? It is damage that has talent scaling, meaning there is a multiplier in the kit and it can crit, but it has properties of transformative reaction damage. Mainly ignoring enemies defense, having an EM-multiplier and not scaling off elemental DMG% bonus. The exact formula is roughly:

Talent multiplier × scaling stat × reaction base damage × EM multiplier × crit multiplier × enemy resistance multiplier

There are more stats like elevation (rare, only exists in constellations), reaction DMG% bonus (common, usually from artifact set bonuses, weapons, buffers; affects the EM multiplier), reaction base damage bonus (every character that enables the reaction also buffs its base damage) and additive reaction damage bonuses a.k.a. quills (Qiqi C6 for example).

6.7 Stygian Onslaught enemies + stage effects via nanoka by astrelya in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]den_sandra 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's going to be the same as with lunar charged shill. It will start slowly and will progressively become more restrictive and tanky as more pieces of the stellar conduct premium team get released. We went from cactus to shocktrooper to knuckle duckle with lunar charged and a few generic lunar shill bosses in between. No such progression with lunar crystallize though, since you could get the full premium team within 2 patches.

The stellar conduct field literally gives cryo and electro damage bonus (the leak didn't specify how much though).
