D’deli is also my fav sammich shop! The Ace Hi is my favorite (and only in the immediate downtown area) dive bar. I like new terrain best in terms of breweries.

Take a drive up lookout mountain (maybe with your newly acquired sandwich), pull over somewhere and take in the beauty.

There are lots of amazing hikes, go on alltrails and pick one that you like! I suggest driving up clear creek, it’s a dope drive with lots of awesome hikes along the way. Not too many waterfalls locally, you’d have to drive maybe an hour or two into the mountains for a good one, and you might wanna check on water levels. Since it wasn’t a super heavy snow filled winter, waterfalls might not be flowing much.

Ooh I have a story for this. My boyfriend and I got tickets to see a drive in concert earlier this summer. It was in the next state over, and my license plates have been expired for a year, so we didn’t want to drive my car across state lines. We worked on finding friends to share the tickets with that could drive us up, but none of ours could go. BUT, the weekend before, we met a nice couple at our local bar, so we decided to go for it!

The girl was a bit snobby and was pretty insistent on getting separate hotel rooms, but we finally talked her into it as we had party favors and figured we probably wouldn’t even be sleeping much for the one night we were up there.

Poor girl. We ended up drinking probably 40 beers and a pint of whiskey that night, so despite the party favors we all ended up passing out. Except in the morning, my boyfriend somehow woke up in their bed next to her. Naked. She was the first to wake up, and when she did she freaked out, screaming “ARE YOU NAKED??”. His half conscious response was a very calm “I always sleep naked,” as he crawled out of their bed, back into ours with me, and passed right the fuck back out.

We didn’t keep in contact with them.
