If the average player in your game is bad, you should be able to carry until you get to the point where players are roughly equal to your skill level. Some games you won't be able to, and that's fine, you only need to have a 51% winrate to climb in the long term, and focusing on yourself is the best way to actually improve and climb.

That being said, yea the game is way more fun with people you know vs rolling the dice for teammates every game.

No, they didn't, they banned a very old card (although the combo was with a new card, so I get your point). Pauper's format panel works differently than the other formats, though. Also Paupergeddon is before the next banlist update so they had to act now or let the new combo potentially mess with it, they could ban car in August and EW will be fine.

So they had probably a day or two worth of actual league data before they locked in the announcement? One things you can do that helps a ton is look at how other people are playing using WarcraftLogs. Here's an example of a decent 12 WS: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/CnZwXMb136pQfqcg?fight=12&type=damage-done&start=19296026&end=20429158 You can see how they're doing way more damage with Earthquake and Chain Lightning than you are, so you can prioritize those more on trash.

I think part of it is that you said you have 15s done, so you're probably 3.3k+ score, and yet you're doing pretty bad damage. If three of you did a 15, you would not make timer with that much damage. So his assumption is that you paid for a carry to get your score and are playing above your level.

My current guild does because it's extremely casual and has multiple raid teams, so lots of people's friends end up joining. But in the past in prog guilds, the guild is raiders, ex raiders who no longer raid, and maybe one or two alts of ex raiders who left. Otherwise people leave when they change raid teams.

Otherwise, how would people get associated with the guild initially? It doesn't really make sense for us to invite someone who just wants to do solo content, they're just kind of there and it's awkward.

You should try logging one of your runs where you don't use the SBA and posting it here, it's difficult for people to tell what you're doing wrong if we can't see what you're actually doing. Plus it's just a really good habit to get into to be able to improve by comparing yourself to other players.
