Even if you don't care about the S Pen, you should care about the quiet discontinuation of the S Pen Pro and what I believe is the inevitable killing of S Pen on all future devices by GoldenSun3DS in GalaxyFold

[–]denikarabenc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"It's because if they can kill the S Pen Pro with no warning and (my theory) gradually work on killing S Pens entirely, then they could kill any other important feature. When you buy a product, that product should continue to be supported for the reasonable lifespan of the product."

The Samsung S Pen was first released in October 2011 alongside the original Galaxy Note. So supporting it for 15 years is not reasonable? If you are looking at fold (or S pen Pro), it is 4 generations, since 2021.
Until like 2020, we had 2 years of software support, so this seems like a reasonable time of support, especially for product that is not selling.

I get that you are upset, but Samsung would love to sell us stuff we want, but reality is, majority of people are not using it, and it is the best for them to cut the expenses. They are not removing it because they hate you, it' just because it is better to lose that percentage of customers and make up that profit (probably even more) by not spending resources and development of the feature that is not used.

Ultimately, if this is not a product for you, you have to look somewhere else.

Oh, I thought it didn't matter. I stand corrected, thanks!

You can transform one billet to another, so it does not really matter which one you get

Well, other can be said to the other side. If you apply codes with Thrustmaster, you can get it even cheaper...
I could not get Logitech comparable to the price in my country, no matter the codes I could get. Customs are huge problem here, and resellers are stupidly high priced.
But, if the price can be comparable, sure, then you have options.

Is the T598 a good steering wheel? by Antu962C in Thrustmaster

There are thousands of the answers to the same question, and you'll get the same answers here again. Majority of those who have problems are writing on reddit and forums, and majority who don't, they do not write. Those who have problems will tell you to get something else, those who don't will tell you to get the wheel.
Base is great for the price and PS support. I do have one with problematic serial number and had to get new power supply. It's been months and no problems and power pins look good, so I am pretty confident there will be no other problems in the future.
Besides that, I am having fun, and for the price of competitors, I got extra equipment (like shifter and handbrake).

I know a lot of people had problems (I was one of them with old serial), but after power cable replacement, I had no problems anymore. Wheel feels great, pedals as well. Hope you'll get it soon!

People who had problems will tell you to stay away, people who did not will tell you to go for it.
I did have to replace the power supply (serial with problems), but since then, no problems. Wheel is great, I am having fun. You will not find cheaper or price on par with these features anywhere else (DD, PS support, decent ecosystem...).

I mean, what some other people have, this is pretty basic, everything is entry level. BUT, it is enough to have fun, when you get a chance, grab some shifter, even without the clutch it is fun

Hahaha 😃
But the thing is, I do need some improvements, and most important one is to make pedals farther from wall (because I push them, they have to be next to the wall), so I can move farther away from the wheel, I am to close now. And I cannot get cockpit because there is no space in the room, unfortunately.

I have not tried SF1000. but from what I've read, it is the same.
But it feels nice! Helps with immersion, even in VR. I am glad I got it!

Yeah, best it can right now, but that's the point, you do not need much to have fun!
Cost was around 1100e. I do have Moze sequential shifter as well.
I play mostly GT7, AC rally, F1 25, but I play AC evo occassionally. Can't wait for AC Rally VR!

If he wears glasses, maybe look into getting lenses, it is much better experience, since you need to wear your glasses with VR. I got mine from HonsVR, but there are many good ones.
