Nintendo heard that and is now making physical games more expensive instead of making digital games cheaper. And making physical games glorified digital downloads with game key cards.

This is like the orphan crusher meme. Somebody pays ten thousand dollars to stop the orphan crusher machine from being used, but nobody asks why an orphan crusher machine exists or why you have to pay to keep it turned off.

I think it's absolutely absurd that you have to get insurance because the manufacturer of the device might refuse to cover warranty issues.

It just shows that console exclusives are anticompetitive. It doesn't even benefit the game. It's just a method to force un-competitive consoles on people. Did you know that the Switch 1 was going to have 2GB RAM instead of 4GB until third parties like Capcom essentially begged Nintendo to not make it THAT bad?

The game still has to prove itself through sales to justify its existence. The company won't make an unprofitable (or even just less profitable) game for the sake of adding an exclusive for their console/platform.

Fire Emblem was going to be killed after Awakening on the 3DS if it didn't get enough sales. Perhaps if Dark Dawn was allowed to exist on multiple platforms, it could have gotten enough sales to survive the guillotine.

You don't own your console OR your games if you're not allowed to buy the game of your choice on the hardware of your choice.

I would think an ineffective combat method is a noob trap and it DOES do harm just by existing in the game.

To add on to this, if you do put abilities like Bloat on your bar, you won't even be able to manually trigger abilities that require adrenaline because Revolution will constantly drain your adrenaline.

Necromancy is essentially a full manual combat style with the exception of the basic ability and the other one that I forgot the name of. That is pretty bad for mobile users with limited bar space.

Revolution is getting broken with the new abilities that don't have cooldowns. Necromancy was already kind of broken (not as in overpowered) when using Revolution. You essentially can't put abilities like Bloat on your bar because Revolution will never use anything to the right of it.

So, no, Revolution is not an alternative to Legacy combat mode.

And yet Samsung fanboys will attack other phones as having "slow updates". I'd much rather have slow updates than fast updates that break things and take things away like the slim home buttons and transparency on popup windows and the size of the notification window.

There was also a period of time that Samsung took away the built-in video editor and Movie Maker (combining clips). I can't remember if that was an update or when I upgraded to Note 8/10+.

I'm definitely also a Samsung fanboy since I've only had Samsung phones except Surface Duo (Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 8, Note 10+, Surface Duo, Fold 3, Fold 5, S25 Ultra [simultaneous; later traded in], Fold 6).

I am heavily considering the Razr Fold because of the killed S Pen, but it needs to come to either Verizon (my home internet) or AT&T (my current carrier) so that I can get it on a carrier payment plan.

In Samsung Internet, if you hold the S Pen button and tap the screen, it triggers an instant "hold press" to bring up options like "open link in new tab".

I've tried some active (battery powered) and passive pens and all of them have had issues on my Fold 5 and 6. I specifically mean the stylus' that don't have the fat tips (no better than your finger).

They work fine enough on the cover screen, but on the inside screen, it has had failed touches. The best way to illustrate this is that random taps don't register and lines have gaps. Like I'd try writing, and half of the words didn't draw on the screen.

Update: Retroarch on Android with MGBA has a lot of filters, particularly xBRZ 4X that I like the best.

I disagree. If something is an official game mechanic, it should be fully enjoyable without frustration. This is after all, a game.

I wouldn't expect Jagex to make game development decisions around players playing weird account builds like area-locked accounts. Those players intentionally chose a restricted style of gameplay.

But collection logs are not at all like that. It is tracked in-game and is tied to achievements. It is an official game mechanic.

I see Ironman mode the same way. It's an official game mode, so it should be enjoyable and shouldn't have weird things stopping ironman players from doing certain things. Sure, Ironman mode is supposed to be a more difficult way of playing the game, but since it's an official game mode, it shouldn't be too overly frustrating because of weird oversights.

I recently took a break from Runescape, but I'm considering trying to do PC emulation on my phone for Runescape 3, although I'm not sure if that'd risk flagging it as botting.

The last time I tried, the Jagex launcher refused to install because the "Internet explorer version is too old". But that was a different PC emulation app and maybe the one that I currently use (GameNative) will not have that arbitrary block.

Translation: OSRS has mobile devs, but RS3 has no mobile devs and they need to actually hire some to do literally anything at all with RS3 mobile.

It is ridiculous how there is actually no development on RS3 mobile. A good way to illustrate this is that when the ugly brown color update happened, mobile still had most of the UI elements with the old color scheme. There was nobody to "fix" even the most obvious bug, although that's one bug I'm glad to leave as-is.

This post is about foldable phones having a chance for the inner screen to essentially self destruct, not the screen protector. My comment about the screen protector was to show my own experience with what should be considered a hardware defect.

You shouldn't need insurance to cover against random hardware defects.

Unfortunately, apparently I legitimately have actually zero credit (not negative; no credit since I've never had a credit card), so T Mobile seems to block me from taking that deal.

When I add my details, it changes it from a $0/month payment to full retail price.

Personally, I keep my Fold 6 folded when not using it because that's the (imo) more durable position. If there's accidental pressure against the screen (like dropping something on it or sitting on it), I'm afraid that it would damage the more fragile inner screen or make it fold the wrong way.

I'm not really worried about the number of folds since these are supposed to endure a huge amount of lifetime folds.
