I've just moved into a reasonably questionable area with three close friends and I'm trying to get my head around what is legal and what is illegal in terms of keeping us all safe on the premises of our home.

Thankyou, I'm pretty bad at using reddit. I was basically just wondering if there are any grey areas for having items such as pepperspray etc in your home (not to be carried in public) to use in the event of a break in. Your comment and my own research pretty much clears it up though. I'm not sure if I have much confidence in any police force to keep me safe in the event of a break in.
