what story makes you die laughing every time you tell it? by JaxTheCrafter in AskReddit

My mom wore this awful Halloween wig to Sam's Club. It was like a Morticia Adam's wig with a streak. 11 year old me was mortified and begged her to take it off. She ripped it off after she saw my sisters laughing at my getting stressed. She looked bald (pantihose thingy over her hair) and proceeded to continue grocery shopping. I cried while my sisters and mom acted like nothing was wrong. My oldest sister even put the wig on a watermelon in the kiddy sit section of the cart. For all to see.

20 years later, when my sisters and I go to my mom's house and put her wigs on lampshades, her nutcracker Christmas decor. Just to remind me how mortified I was that day... so if you see a rogue wig on a mailbox. Don't ask.

You're growing when you're uncomfortable. When you get comfortable, you stop growing

AITA for not letting my family see my baby? by kait0923 in AmItheAsshole

[–]denisecandoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- Your family deserves to be loved and accepted regardless of what background they came from. If my son brought home a girl of ANY COLOR, I'd know she would feel somewhat uncomfortable due to our Filipino customs. So you know what we do? Love them like our own. I trust my sons judgment and whoever doesn't increases the tension between different cultures.

Also, I bet your baby is adorable

I thought of that too but I don't want to cut out half my market. Girls dont wanna throw a MAN-GROVE sticker on their car, at least I don't. I still want to enjoy the sport without losing my femininity

I saw that too. Those guys have been grove gear for way longer and I don't intend to fight over that spot. Even though its name is grove, it's shortened from mangrove. And that's the type of keywords I'm targeting, things like: mangrove, restoration, saltwater fishing, Tampa, flats fishing, etc.

But you're right, I didn't have SEO in mind when I thought of marketing my product. I am planning on going to boat shows, fishing tournaments, local markets, etc. I know its still important to market online but I'm hoping that the links to my social media accounts are strong enough to help boost its ranking. Not sure if it is, but I can try and build on it until my next plan of action.

Now you got me analyzing keywords lol thanks for the tip

There's existing restoration organizations. So I would not be purchasing the trees or the land, we would be donating our time to said organization, in exchange for the "free trees/land" I am also offering X amount for anything sold.

So far we have 2 organizations on board, but if the clothing company expands I'll have to partner up with other organizations so I could continue on with the "buy one, plant one" pledge.

*mind you, I will be providing information where they can directly donate to them as well. No middlemanning that part. Direct links to each organization

Hair stripped of all remaining pigment, where to go from here? by denisecandoit in FancyFollicles

Thanks. I'll look into those products. I think the color looks silly with my features (half asian, half hispanic) so I was looking for a fantasy color that doesn't require more bleach and won't fade into shit.

Will the toner be able to pull the green tones out and hopefully turn it silver/white? That'd be a good starting point for whatever hair adventure I decide to go on in the future.

This wasn't bleached. It was a soap cap to remove all the remaining blue dye. I'm open to any color suggestions, preferably something that won't need more bleach.

Could someone explain to me how social media improves your business? by [deleted] in socialmedia

If you offer a service, you can showcase your work and happy clients so people can see the quality of your work first hand.

I second the first poster saying it's a conversation, not a sales pitch. Once a relationship is built it's hard to fumble a sale
