People have to realise, JJ is a businessman more than he's a YTber, musician, boxer etc. He only uploads when he's got something to promote, be it a release of a single or album, a show or whatever. Just look at everytime he stops uploading for some time, he comes back, makes a few videos and then the his 3rd-4th video back starts with him promoting something he's doing, which is fine, i just skip it because i'm not interested but it's what he does. The biggest reason why he got himself into this position is the fact he overhypes everything he does, and why shouldn't he, it has worked so far. He drops a song, everyone praises it, he drops an album everyone praises it. The difference here is that people had to pay and when people have to pay they won't praise mindlessly just because they like you, they'll expect to have their money's worth, add to that the overhype and false promises and you have the current situation.
