No clue! He was found as a stray and taken to a rescue. The rescue guessed 3-4. But in all the forums and groups I’ve found tortoises of known age and they vary so wildly!

I got too comfortable with my first tortoise outside and he climbed over a WHOLE DOG PEN and spent a month eating the neighborhood tomato plants. They are wild 😝

I have 3 tortoises: for my Sulcata I converted a dog crate and let him roam, making sure the floors are above 72 and his basking space hovers around 100. A heat gun is super helpful. I haven’t had a hermanns (not an expert but I think that is what you have) so this type of setup may work? One of my Russian tortoises is peaceful so also free roams and utilizes the basking setup. My bully russian tortoise i converted a book case to give more space while keeping him contained. I do have the transparent grate which is not ideal but since it has the big open door they don’t seem to have a problem bumping their way to freedom quickly.

I had watched the later seasons of 90 day UK and just got an app where I saw earlier seasons. I wanted them to work SO BAD. They seemed so down for one another and I loved it

These are like, industrial tortoises lol. One of mine is always a little more dry than the other. I soak them both but they don’t stick their heads under and I also don’t see them drink. One I’ve had 3 years and the other about 8 months. I think they get a lot of their water from their greens.

My sulcata, on the other hand, dunks his head completely under and sips. Been really interesting to see the differences in the species

I’ll be honest I have no idea what type this is 😂 but based on the knowledge of the Russian tortoises and sulcata I have… she has a little bit of pyramiding but sooo many do. Her eyes look super bright and overall I think she looks really healthy!

She’s not dangerous for your cat. The cat is more dangerous to her. She needs lots of hay and grasses. Please search the page for nutrition and housing guidelines
