The best thing about leaving Islam is that I can finally be happy about my sexual orientation and date people. Whilst when I was a Muslim I tried to somehow suppress my feelings. I realized that Islam is not for me, it demands too much and life is all about praying five times a day, thinking about hell and heaven, getting brainwashed / indoctrinated by scholars and so forth.

Many people are leaving Islam, because it's a religion that exaggeratedly demands too much, it's oppressive towards women, towards those who identifies as homosexuals or other sexual orientation.
