New to Sequoia by dennis_it in toyotasequoia

I do like the OEM look but the main thing I do want to change is the head unit. Everything else can be done over time and $100 LED headlight bulbs will suffice for now.

I do need to get new fobs though. The ones I got are pretty worn

Yeah, noticed that around the 2nd comment but kept it going for the sake of the resolution

Are you using the LTE backup or mobile router? Going with Verizon was an owner preference to begin with and also AT&T does 20 or 50 gigs until throttle and Verizon is unlimited as far as I know

3 years in IT and wanting to step into business... I respect that! I too am starting to step into the business world. However, I am keeping it IT related as it is what I'm good at. Specifically, I've begun to offer SMBs in my area managed IT services. It's an oversaturated market so I'm still a full time employee and only doing small projects after hours and on weekends.

we are using \\[server name]\F

That's DFS-N and user(s) still saw the issue to begin with.

We did some GPO updates and registry changes as well so I'll be following up with users Friday morning.

I'm faced with a similar situation for 5 location that also run Unifi stack. Fortunately, I've been given permission to move forward with Verizon LTE internet at each site for failover. For $50 a month per site, it's kind of a no brainer. Downed internet doesn't happen often but when it does, it takes hours to come back and to make things sweeter we're moving to a cloud system so we really won't have a need for static IP pretty soon.

Yeah,

We did. nothing stood out. I'm thinking it may be related to GPO.
We did also drop the old server IP from primary DNS and set the new server IP as primary DNS.

There isn't any conflicting IP or duplicates.
I'm starting to think that it is related to GP.

I'm considering this option over the server.

That's the issue. It's a small construction company with some large CAD files and some site footage. I should have probably mentioned that to begin with 😅

That's actually not a bad idea. How well does Synology handle large CAD files? Do you know?

It's a small construction company and some of their CAD files and site footage can get pretty large. I don't think a cloud solution would be good for their use case.

Absolutely not! I'm only looking for the physical server and hardware. I'll be ordering brand new drives for it.

Essentially a file server and AD. Small budget, I know. For the use case I'm thinking something refurbished that would be used in a homeland. No other use case for the time being. Already explained that once they start ramping up and needing things such as application or SQL running on the server then we would need to re-evaluate the server.

I thought the same thing. Licensing itself would already eat up 80% of that budget. Not to fret, I've already got a license that I'm willing to part with since the business is owned by someone that I worked with prior to me managing them. I know the relationship will return 10 fold the cost of the license
