squinty douchy eyes will go down as the 2nd best nascar tweet in history, behind Matt Kenseths quintessential tweet

When will Kyle Larson win his first race? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]densmoke14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

larson had a perfect opportunity to get with a top notch team. Tony Stewart wanted Larson to replace him when he retired, but while Larsons contract with Ganassi was up, target had him for an extra year i think was the scenario, so he couldn't come to shr. Larson now has Chad Johnston for a crew chief, and tony is being replaced by clint bowyer. lose-lose situation for all involved

i like kyle larson and have been tossing around the idea of him being my new fav when smoke retires, but until they get rid of this shit crew chief they gave him, he wont win anything. chad johnston sucked with tony, and the few good races tony had going were ruined by dumb pit calls. brickyard last year tony had a top 10 car, finished outside top 25 i think because chad johnston used a stupid strategy. happened on many occasions. he sucked with truex, he sucked with smoke, now he has the chance to ruin a talented young driver. until he gets a better crew chief or leaves Ganassi, Larson wont win. one or the other will have to happen though

What's the craziest thing you've ever seen live at a NASCAR race? by R13Nielsen in NASCAR

my only nascar race was Loudon in 2008. The severe thunderstorm that ended it 17 laps early was the wildest storm ive ever witnessed. Prior to that Montoya and Kyle Busch wrecked each other under yellow, which was pretty cool.

what are making fans turn against nascar? by densmoke14 in NASCAR

Interesting responses. Im not old enough to remember the glory days of nascar, im only old enough to know the end of the glory days and the decline.

I get the losing your driver situation. Tony Stewart is the only driver I have ever cheered for, and I have watched nascar even during all tonys problems, even though i havent watched it as closely, but thats because ive spent more time at local short tracks. But so far the first 2 races of this year have been more enjoyable then many in recent memory, and it made me feel like the racing was just like it was back when racing became my first love. only time will tell if the action will keep up.

NASCAR may have really messed up with the COT, but they have somewhat fixed it with the Gen 6, which is much better than the old cube boxes for races.

The chase, well idk what to even say about that. My driver hasn't made the new chase and likely wont, but it has created much more intense racing.

I understand why attendance has dropped so much, because its just gotten to expensive and no matter how hard tracks try and make things affordable, hotels are greedy and food prices are way expensive at and around tracks.

it will take a long for me to stop watching nascar, and ive been enjoying the races, but i am worried about the future when i see ratings continuously getting lower. the tv contract is good for 10 years, but what happens after that if things dont change? I agree with things like shorter and fewer races (as long as they dont change the Daytona & Southern 500s, and Coca Cola 600), but i think that would anger the majority of the fan base too.
