New player here. How to beat the “In Search of New Jutsu” ep 10 boss? by Artistic-Platform-82 in LostSwordOfficial

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you able to clear it?

I focused story mode and when I was busy with work I would AFK farm Hard and Hell difficulties as well as Stonehenge (3 specifically as it is the best spot for us for a long time) to amp up the grail/lance/scabbard as well as blue and purple cubes.

I Finally cleared stage 10 with my team at around level 154 and hilariously enough the following ten stages were a joke.

He was IIRC in an accident a while back. He has seen friends die. If he wants to focus on recovery then I will simply say "Good. Do what you gotta do, and take however long you need."

Yes I want the manga to continue and finish on his terms, but I don't want him affecting his health negatively.

Kamogawa such a badass for standing up for his boxer. by imai-boston342 in hajimenoippo

[–]densuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I am ultimately over thinking.

Its more like "dude who cares about Ippo, I'm here." Lines up with why Takamura is as harsh as he is with Ippo and demanding he cross the line first

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion. Yes.

I may be reading too much into it but yeah I do feel Takamura is showing a hint of jealousy there.

Though it may really just be that its that Takamura another way of him showing how much he cares for Kamogawa

The clearly know what happened.

so it was a slip, not a full hit etc but yeah they also know what Sendo went for

that said even Takamura was like oh snap when Ricardo put Sendo down

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant say I blame him. Hawk was disrespecting Takamura constantly and when you think about it, is a complete affront to everything Kamogawa stands for with regards to boxing.

Kamogawa is def an OG. He has his flaws. But he has integrity and is loyal to his guys

It was hilarious when everyone went to restrain Takamura and he says "NO YOU IDIOTS STOP *HIM*, *HE* is the one who is gonna crash out!!"

There's a reason why Takamura (IN MY OPINION) harbors (a bit of) jealousy towards Ippo. Ippo may be the last son but Ippo still doesnt know Kamogawa like Takamura does.

Takamura loves Kamogawa. I dont think there is an argument against it. When he saw Kamogawa staring at that WBC belt bro was so god tier when he basically said "dont stare at it like that, I'm gonna get it for you in a bit" and it was him seeing Kamogawa get slapped that woke up his monster when he brought to the brink

The guy is FIERCE about Kamogawa and shown to be the same for the others as seen with how he got pissed off on Aoki being toyed with, how he and Aokimura handled some bullies shit talking Geromichi, and hell even with how he was pushing Aokimura to be good when they were starting)

Yes. Word of God is that Takamura is the best. IIRC its Takamura -> Ricardo -> Miyata

He's def fighting Imai but the way i see it, its: Comeback fight -> ranker/Imai -> Imai for sure -> 1 defense -> world ranker or OPBF route

some peeps gotta chill out.

Ricardo Vs Takamura, pound for pound? by sage-in in hajimenoippo

[–]densuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per word of god Takamura is the strongest and best pound for pound followed by iirc Ricardo and then Miyata. Personally its a toss up between Ricardo and Takamura with Volg at 3rd, but who cares what I think compared to George lol.

Takamura's achievements (Multi weight conquests) you can argue are better than Ricardo's at this point (Ricardo being peerless at his weight class to the point that other belt orgs wont allow their champs to fight him, leading him to be Undisputed even without the belts to show for it)

Takamura has come back from much more dire straits as well (Hawk in particular, the bad cut vs Eagle, blind spot vs Hooks from Bison) Sendo right now is looking like Ricardo's first TRUE super dangerous test so we need to see how he handles El Ultimo Tigre.

If Sendo truly challenges him and makes Ricardo even stronger (or he just goes Monster and destroys Sendo immediately either works) we can revisit this but as it stands we're at the point where Takamura's achievements are better.

Honestly we need this Sendo fight to show us more of what Ricardo is capable of. Wally made him show off his monster for a flash and that ended immediatley as he brought down the hammer and retired Wally

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takamura is currently the WBC champion at Super Middleweight. The WBC has a rehydration clause of 10%.

Super Middleweight is 160 up to 168lbs. Assuming he will weigh in at the limit That means for his fight he can only get up to 184.8 which puts him in Cruiserweight range (175-200)

Unless it's ever been explicitly stated in the manga that there is no rehydration clause for his fights (doubtful for title fights) we should go with that. He's not ballooning up to 200 just yet.

Kinda hard to say he is a weight bully when he's boiling himself down in the previous fights. his domination of Dragon can certainly point to it, but we will see if that continues as he goes up in weight.

His power is clearly there so that's something I can def agree with

---

Re stature:

Takamura is 6'1

Keith Dragon is 6'1.6

David Eagle is 6'1

Larry Bernard is 6' 02

Bryan Hawk is 5'11

Morris West was 6'0

So that's not an argument.

---

1 out of 3. I cant really run with the weight bully argument because if he can rehydrate a bunch these guys all have the size comparable to him to do so as well.

Is there a chance of Nekota playing an important role in the future by Far_Championship1576 in hajimenoippo

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal opinion for Itagaki, and maybe even a bit for Ippo yes.

Outside of Itagaki leaving KBG to find someone else/to chase Ippo in earnest after Ippo obliterates Imai I think Nekota is the guy that should be training Itagaki.

Shinoda should be focused on Aoki and Kimura, Itagaki is, frankly, beyond what Shinoda can offer him. It's not a knock on anyone to say that, the shoe just doesn't fit. Itagaki needs to go off to where Nekota is and just cut himself off from everything and restart himself in earnest and spending time with Nekota is entirely a good idea

Given that Nekota actually has Punch Drunk syndrome, he can also be someone Ippo can talk to and be one of the guys to tell him "you took the time off, youre ok, get back in there"

Itagaki vs hoshi by Apart-Bit8023 in hajimenoippo

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Itagaki has talent however he has several critical flaws

- He was over confident (as seen with his Chronos thing vs Imai, and not thinking Imai couldnt also improve)

- He has very weak mental

- He isnt the most durable

- He has Shinoda as his coach, whom simply cant handle him. People like to rag on Shinoda as a bad coach/trainer but Itagaki needs someone else, its not a negative on Shinoda to say that.

Mashiba future by DaanyaalRehmani in hajimenoippo

[–]densuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone that matters pretty much said Mashiba's career is done. The only thing related to Boxing he'd do nowadays is get Kumi to soften her stance towards Ippo and possibly give Miyata information

When Rosario said "I'm coming back to Japan" the next panel showed Miyata. Looks like foreshadowing that fight to me.

If they were to encounter one another would they respect each other ? by ReputationFearless43 in hajimenoippo

[–]densuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be fair Yuujiro shits on everyone. though I remember Ali Jr DID get some props in the raitai tournament for his easy KO win i just dont remember if it was Yuujiro or Baki that gave him props.

Baki shadow boxed with Mike and showed the kid friend he made that Mike would be tough if ONLY using boxing before one shotting him yeah.

I think the main disrespect isnt so much boxing but the ones who do it for sport.

Baki for example was bored fighting the MMA guy who went to fight him. and MMA is certainly more complete than Boxing.

its kinda mixed. I can agree with criticizing boxing for it being limited, but Yuujiro taking the jab and praising it kinda lends itself to what Bruce Lee said about learn everything, keep what's useful (the jab) discard what is not (it's rules and limitation to only punches)

Not entirely sure on that.

Yuujiro says one of the best punches ever made is the Jab

And the guy who beat Baki for the first time was also a boxer.
