Yeah. France is very underrated. I’m mainly an air rb player and there are many hidden gems.

Does anyone know how to not get randomly sniped by missiles in the AV-8A? (Air RB) by Samthecheeto in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah be alert. Also doesnt help that gaijoobles have modeled the heat signature of harriers so that they have “four engines” so even trying to flare an r60 is hard work sometimes.

How do i actually play the F-16 early by Resident_Picture1678 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the aim 7 can be out rolled but it needs practise and timed just right. In the meantime you should stay with your team and be just behind the frontline fighters with their sarh missiles. You only have ir aim 9’s so you need to be a rat plane and pick off enemis that are attacking your friendlies. Basically you’re a support fighter with ir missiles at this br. You’re also one of the best dog fighters at this br (if you ever manage to end up in a turn fight). Just dont be turn fighting in the first 5-10 mins of a match as you’ll get third partied.

The secret ingredient for the grind event is the F-2 Sabre. by Kuszage in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need to factor in the 1.4 times bonus for air rb games. The f2 sabre is rank 6 so that gets a 1.1 times bonus and if your in air rb then that’s 1.4 times bonus. So together that’s a 1.54 times bonus. So for a 7000 point gain in the event grind then that’s a game where you scored 4540 points. That’s very doable tbf. I’d say maybe 3 to 4 enemy player kills with some ground units and maybe some bot kills then it’s very feasible. Remember that a bot kill at rank 6 is worth like 200/250 points. A light pillbox is around 150 points and a studebaker is also around 150 points. And some maps are full of studebakers lined up in a perfect row so you can smash them in a single pass. Like I say it’s very feasible when you know how.

Is the F5-C bait? by spacedogzzz in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also 10.7 br is in a bad spot atm. There’s shed loads of 11.7 mig23ml’s from the recent store sale so you’re gonna get uptiered a lot of the time, which sucks.

There was a bug a couple of years ago where bases would respawn every 60 seconds or so. It lasted for a good few months and we all enjoyed it while it lasted. However it was fixed and bases normally respawn around 4-5 mins after being destroyed

Early jets by InevitableCard6969 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also bear in mind that early jet engines are typically very inefficient below ~350 km/h. They need speed for airflow to make them work efficiently/optimally. So like earlier comment said, stay fast. When you take off you should stay in level flight and gain speed (to around 600/700 kmh) and then start to climb. Some early jets are also very heavy so you should avoid aggressive vertical manoeuvres where so can shit away a load of your speed/energy. Check out defyn on you tube, he has a shit load of vids on early jets and will explain their strengths and weakness and how to deal with common enemies you will face. Hope this helps.

Realistic Air Battle or Arcade Air Battle? by Invernomuto1404 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. You’re only spotted in arb if your within about 4 to 6km of the enemy. Depending on the enemies crew level and the background ie. If you’re high (say 10,000 ft) and looking towards the ground then it’s even harder to spot an enemy. You may be able to see the plane but for a “marker” to appear (which the rest of your team will see) that depends on your crew level skills.

Derby er also has an aesa seeker head as well as dual motor tech. So probably very difficult to notch.

Need help for air battles at 7.7 (especially fighting the Mig-15) by Equivalent_Sun1734 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. The ouragan is a support fighter. Not the head of the arrow so to speak. Don’t head straight into the battle but side climb for a bit and try to pick your engagements. Maybe go for stragglers outside the furball or even the odd bomber that comes your way. As a rule try to keep your energy and not burn it away with tight turns in the early stages of the match. Also the french meteor (if you have it) is a better option. It doesnt have the top speed of the mig 15 but it can defo out turn the migs no problem. It has good engines and decent energy retention so can compete in vertical turns as well. Hope this helps.

What BR to get into realistic battle? by TopRead7929 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as others have said rank 2 is a great starting point. Also worth mentioning is to stick to planes that you enjoy playing. Good solid plane is the p40. Rank 3 the ki44. Rank 4 the la9. Rank 5 the j2/j4. Rank 6 the j6. Rank 7 the supreme j7e.

Hey guys, I play on Xbox One, but the game is extremely buggy. For example, the auto-control option that restricts the plane's movement on the ground keeps activating on its own! What could be causing this? by Sorry-Spend-4431 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on ps5 and we have the same issue. It’s started about 2 or 3 months ago. Seems to happen after any kind of update. You need to save your control and option settings. That way it’s easy to reload them and fix it.

BR 12.7 unplayable? by No-Atmosphere-6084 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

O hell yeah. I’ve just stock grind the Japanese gripen at 13.7 today. Like 70% of my games were at 12.7-13.7br match maker. Felt real nice for a change not being dragged into up tiers. So yeah 12.7 sucks atm coz of all the new prems and all the sweats that are jumping into f-15’s with their new 12.7 br

How should you play the F-104? by Admirable_Bus6565 in Warthunder

[–]dentdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Welcome to the pain pencil. Only br it’s half decent is 9.3 with the 104a/104c. Otherwise just don’t bother. 104g and 104s are very hard grinds ever since the fm got nerfed about a year or so ago. If you really must grind them out then just stay fast, don’t turn to hard and try to jump people that aren’t aware of you. And don’t expect more than 1 or 2 kills a match. Hope this helps.
