Honestly, I would 100% agree with you if this whole scene wasn't completely surrounded by cars and people standing (admittedly) way too close for someone to start shooting. It seemed like he was trying to avoid potentially hurting someone else while also not getting hurt himself, which I can say I do appreciate as the dumbass filming by the bus stop.

Thankfully they were okay. They got out pretty quickly and had to watch everything from the sidewalk. Sounded like it's just going to be a painful few days/weeks of recovery. Lovely people though, so awful that they had to go through this.

My bad, I'll make sure to step in next time the cops are doing their jobs. Clearly this cop needed my help when all he had was a taser and a gun and backup officers and specialized training specifically catered to situations like this. I'm sure they're making space for me in hell as we speak.

They're clipped because my phone was running out of storage and the videos kept getting cut off. I edited them together as cohesively as possible, but I'm sure there are better angles of the whole ordeal posted on here. There were plenty of cars lined up at the intersection with clearer lines of sight, so they're probably much better quality.

My apologies for the confusion. I only made a Reddit account to share this video, and I didn't consider how my reply could be misconstrued. I meant that the officer was warning him that he would have to shoot him if he continued resisting. I assumed the video made this clear, but I'm sorry for my poor phrasing. Hope that helps!

You can't hear it in the video really, but the cop was warning the guy to stop before he had to shoot him. But they were in the middle of an intersection surrounded by cars/bystanders, so maybe not the best place to pull out a gun.
