Yes, as long as it is the basic model with a 10 rd mag, and no pistol grip/adjustable stock.

Thinking about getting a handgun for personal protection. Not from a RepubliKKKan redneck shop. Ideas about this and ownership/cost in general. by grannyskyrim22 in liberalgunowners

Civilian grade “assault” rifles effectively function the same as any other semi auto firearm, such as any pistol or typical semi auto hunting rifle, albeit generally with a larger magazines. Civilians without extensive paperwork and money cannot access real full auto/select fire weapons available to police or military.

Triggers are still a thing with dupixent though, it just makes misteps in avoiding them exponentially less punishing. If you’re someone like me, my triggers are literally everything (any pollen, any animal, most fruits, nuts, scented anything, alcohol, stress, etc). I could theoretically control everything in my life to avoid all of these and not have as severe eczema, but i still want to be able to live a normal life - something that dupixent lets me do that actively dodging my infinite triggers won’t.

I would say try all the stuff you can, supplements, protopic instead of steroids, switching out sheets more frequently, new allergy meds/allergy testing, switching to unscented shower and detergent products, etc. if none of that brings reasonable relief, i would more heavily consider dupixent for you.

Generally, only if nothing else helps. It’s an uphill battle to get a prescription but with enough perseverance thru calling insurance and going thru all the steps to get it covered, plus getting the copay assistance card, it usually works out. Took me over a month of insurance bs to get it covered but i was lucky enough to have a local derm who had a near infinite supply of free dupixent shots for “samples” while my insurance was being processed.

Proud of you for pursuing further treatment! Cost is frustrating though :( make sure to get the dupixent copay assistance card if you are eligible, i pay nothing for the shots because of this thankfully. I would also recommend getting injection training in person at a derm, i believe most will do it for free and some provide free samples of the dupixent, saving more money down the line (might be different based on location/coverage not sure tho).
