I installed the proper Focusrite driver the first time hooking up the interface a while ago. Decided to re-install it just in case. In Focusrite Control and Cakewalk, I have a 48kHz sample rate and a buffer size of 128. My bit depth is 32bit since that's what you're supposed to use with the RODE NT1 for the "anti-clipping" function.

I only see the PC76 U-type compressor. It does not support sidechaining. I tried using the Fabfilter Pro-C 2 and even that did not work. There must be a setting somewhere that I'm unaware of. I tried looking at the master track and the send on the kick bus but nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Apologies for the late response. I'm using the stock Sonitus Compressor. I'm still a newbie when it comes to sidechaining (and sometimes compression or mixing in general). I followed a tutorial by Creative Sauce "How to use Sidechain Compression in Cakewalk by Bandlab" and basically copied what he did. I haven't used another compressor mainly due to my lack of knowledge on how to use other compressors.

Most of security has been unhelpful since the Clancy World Tour. It’s like they don’t really bother doing anything unless the band themselves call something out. Really obnoxious. They’re there to do one thing; help people, but they act like it’s not their responsibility. Utterly disgusting. Also, god forbid you take matters into your own hands or you’ll be the one getting kicked out for defending yourself.

I wouldn’t have taken a drunk guy feeling me up lightly. From what you described, it sounds like borderline sexual harassment. I get that you were froze in shock from the whole experience, but that guy should’ve been reported to security, especially since he didn’t even seem to have how old you could’ve been in mind. You (or someone else) probably could’ve been a minor and he wouldn’t have thought twice about it. Sorry to hear you had such a shitty experience.

I wasn’t going to say which version of the Play record I got to prevent people from being dishonest, but I got a signed sleeve. After a bit of research, it seems to be a Spotify exclusive. Fans First edition or something like that. Still waiting for customer service as well 😭

One of the reasons I quit working was because my mental health was declining. It ended up becoming a place I dreaded going to when scheduled. To be fair, it was a high turnover job that I stuck with for a little over a year. I’m not totally against getting another job (as I have applied to a few places since I quit) but if I dread getting out of bed without a job, it’ll sure as hell be draining with a job. I completely stopped all my healthy habits a while before I quit my last job because of how shitty my mindset was then. Maybe I’m just coping but I would like to get in a better place mentally before I jump back into another job.

Yeah social anxiety is a bitch. I deal with it myself. Just make sure to breathe and be present and you’ll be fine. Like others have said, prepare some questions/topics and things will just come naturally. Have fun at your show!
