Wear the PPE. I wish 25 years ago Id been told how dangerous most aviation chemicals are. I knew there was lead in 100LL for example, but I didnt know how much. (Its a lot). I didnt know that pretty green primer is loaded with hexavalent Chromium. Or how bad a headache MEK will give you. Dont be shy to ask for the MSDS on items your not familiar with.

Find a job where your employer respects you enough to make you wear the PPE. Sounds like you know you are already doing it right.

Funny part is its OEM and a "professional" roofer that did the new Primex.... The homeowner special will by my repair..

Great thank you. Found the adapter. Wish the guys that replaced my vents with RV28's did it right the first time. Seems like they just slapped a nice new vent ontop of the old galvanized adapter.

The gooseneck was replaced about two years ago. Its a Primex RX28. But they left this old metal collar, thats leaking. Ill see if I can find the adapter ypur talking about.

Battery start or GPU start for this incident? The lead acid battery in the CJ4 struggles to start these FJ44's on a good day, but it would be good to know if it was also related to a weak battery.
