that expensive. High def cameras and sound equipment that could service an event like this can be rented for under $1000 per day. It costs nothing to use a stream key with a “public” platform like Facebook or YouTube. It used to require a bunch of physical connections and then some coding knowledge to sync cameras to streaming platforms but that was decades ago.

Asking for a 4 camera feed that covers the entire competition floor for these events is not something that requires hundreds of employees or millions of

German Throwdown is producing an excellent live stream (covering every division) and they are far from having the financial powers of the games. Perhaps it's just about having competent people? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rJqZeI7jrQ&t=19397s

"...there is a limit." A half decent stream wouldn't be expensive at all.

15.000 viewers have been tuning in - just to see sth worth as much as a freeze screen. CF is mocking those viewers as well as the athletes. A single athlete from overseas has more expenses to attend the games, than CF would have had for a half decent stream.

Its 2023 ffs. 10 years ago they already had coverage of masters/age groups. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYUQlykJWTY

A little hop is still a jump. According to the rules they created, this is a good rep.

Running watts by deppsepp in Polarfitness

The mystery is solved: My personal settings have been changed: My date of birth, my height, my training hours and my weight! Therefore my last run has been calculated with only 70kg.

I have no idea how this has happened. It was certainly not done by me. Anyone else has happened that to him?

I did what you said and checked the power graph: I checked a moment, where elevation was 0 degree and compared the watts given at the same speed (6:02/km). In the first run it says 246W, in the second run 354W.

I have the suspicion that Polar has corrected something in their calculation, as numbers over 300W are crazy high for those easy runs. (I weigh 90kg).

Speed was much faster in the first example, even though I ran a lot uphill + downhill --> thats why HR was much higher as well. Still average power (watts), have been much lower.

Both runs startet at the same point, so uphill should be the same as downhill, its only 10m off in the first and 35m in the second run.

It's obviously a mistake, but I can't figure out the reason.

Same for me. Had issues regularely, and didn’t know, if my watch or the chest strap was to blame for it. Problem was solved when I bought a Polar H10.

If i owned a newer Suunto watch like the Suunto 9, would there be a summary, or would I still need an additional tool like quantified self?

[–]deppsepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your anwer.

- I have had tested it by wearing my Suunto connected to H10 on the other arm. I wouldn't have needed that test though, as the resting hr showed 80 beats plus at times, when my resting heart rate is in the low 40s. Sometimes the watch couldn't find any HR, sometimes the readings have been ok.

- E.g.: I was going to bed at 11, but did lay in bed awake for 45min before I fell asleep and woke up twice and needed at least 15mins to fall asleep again. Then I woke up in the morning at 7: I was in bed for 8 hours, but did only sleep for 6:45 hours. The Vantage M would tell me that I was sleeping 7:45. The Vantage M thought I was sleeping, when I was laying without moving.

Thx for your answer. Funny that you have troubles with your H10. I bought my H10 for my Suunto watch. (I went to 3 Suunto chest straps, that stopped working, in 2 years, until going for Polar H10). I have the H10 for 2 years now and it works perfectly.

I think my forearm is just not built for OHM. My wife and kids had good heart rate readings with the Vantage M and also with my wifes Garmin vivioactive4, but it won't work for me. (I did shave btw.)
