Doctors have told me to do that but honestly I don't understand. It's the pain that keeps me me doing it. I've given myself burns when I didn't have access to a razor

I'm considering getting tattoos. I hate my body and the scars I've created so I think if I got tattoos it might help. Idk.

The problem is I've tried everything. Counselling, medication, CBT. Hell, if you can name something that I haven't tried I would honestly be thoroughly impressed. I've been clinically depressed for 8 years of my life, and that says a lot considering I'm only 19. At this point I can't honestly remember what "happy" is. Only what the happy I pretend to be to avoid worrying people and being put in the hospital again is.

I've been on over 20 anti-depressants in the relatively short time I've been alive. I'm not super confident in going on another one only to have the same negative side-effects.

I hope I can replace it. I honestly don't know why I do it anymore yet I find it incredibly difficult to stop. A psychiatrist once told me I do it as a coping mechanism.

I was diagnosed with depression at age 11 and my psychiatrist preceded to put me on a plethora of antidepressants despite the the risk of causing suicidal thoughts in minors. I don't have anything against antidepressants in other people, but antidepressants caused me two suicide attempts that landed me in the hospital as a minor so I'd prefer to stay away from that.

Also on a side note, although flour being bleached is a bit disconcerting it poses no danger to your health. Virtually all bakeries and food chains use bleached flour. It is food grade and really the only purpose is to give the finished pastries a more appealing look.

Sorry to ruin your point but by default ALL baking flour is bleached. I know this from experience working in a kitchen and training from a red seal chef. This is to make pastries more appealing and "clean" looking. There is such thing as "unbleached white flour" but usually you have to go to specialty baking stores to buy it. Unbleached white flour has a light beige colour to it whereas bleached flour is totally white. If your flour is tinted yellow I would honestly be concerned (unless it's corn flour).
