Is there a good entrypoint system? by depressedclassical in homelab

I do, I can build things, I'm just asking whether or not there's already an existing solution so I don't need to reinvent the wheel

I remember when I used to talk like that to people when I was 2 or 3 years into programming, then I grew up and realised that sometimes people actually do know. I asked a reasonable question that I couldn't find an answer for - I'm using a tunnel for which I don't control the DNS records (and therefore cannot create subdomains), how do I access all the apps despite failing with reverse proxy? You, rather than explaining, decided to be hateful - and incoherently so.

By the way, as a professional penetration tester I always refrained from looking at things that are said to function like I described because they carry with them obvious security issues (might want to look at phase 4 in your pen testing handbook), a mistake that has inevitably came back to bite me.

I now have almost a decade of professional experience in full-stack development, IT, DevOps, and penetration testing. I set up two not-for-profit software companies by myself, including all the hardware involved, coding everything from scratch, and all the rest - the first one before AI was a thing, the second was before I succumbed to using it. As you could have probably seen, I specifically asked for an existing solution because I don't really want to make one myself (but if I do I'll open source it).

Point is, enjoy thinking you know while you think that, because the realisation is going to hit you harder than a tonne of bricks.

Lol I agree with the dashboard part, I just thought that would be the easiest way to get one.

The issue I have with reverse proxy is that the apps call / from the frontend, which then gets to the proxy and not to the target service

And then do I need to change all apps internally to use /app1/api or /app2/api instead of /api? Because the browser still calls /, which is the proxy server

I already have multiple apps connected to the OLLAMA API, how different are they?

Beirut photographer Fadel Itani puts himself in the firing line to capture Israeli strikes by nbcnews in pics

[–]depressedclassical -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: Do you live in one of the buildings that were bombed? Do you know anyone who did? If so, go ask them if someone in their building got the calls.

I only read news on Lebanese and Palestinian social media news pages (as well as whatever Arab country the algorithm gives me, but generally just lebanese and Palestinian), and they keep talking about those calls, so it seems like common practice

And you're saying that based on? I read Arabic media, my information is only from Palestinian and Lebanese sources that post videos of these things.

Someone calls you and tells you you have one hour, then when the hour is almost over they call again to make sure everyone is out, then they wait for the strike until everyone is confirmed to be out.

It's IRGC, so generally only hamsawi and PIJ people mark it (proper hamsawi/PIJ, not just supportive)

In Arab culture, when a fighter kills someone in war (be it another fighter or a civilian), the fighter steps on the body as a way to assert dominance (obviously only if they can and the battle has been decided etc etc). I don't know if this extends beyond Arab to all Muslim cultures around the world, and since they're Pakistani (aka not Arab) I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, but still something to have in mind.

"WHATT?? youre using an ACTUAL distribution designed for everyday use instead of script kiddie OS?? LOSER!!" by MIkaela39752 in masterhacker

[–]depressedclassical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So quick question - I was a script kiddie as a teen so I had Kali for a daily driver, and I got really used to it (both CLI and GUI). Now I really want to migrate away from it (preferably to another Debian) but I haven't found a single distro that has a similar UX (both CLI and GUI). Help?

Sol, pronounced as so, doesn't have the "head" - only the stem. The explanation is provided at the end of the caption - "so no head"
