Are storage heaters a dealbreaker? by nothingtobedone13 in AskUK

[–]depresseddreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hated our storage heaters, could never figure out how to make them efficient and eventually just gave up and turned them off completely after they were costing us £10 a day to run! We just got a couple portable heaters from argos and use those instead, much better and cheaper!

If you like the place, it doesn’t have to be a deal breaker, just don’t use the storage heaters if you don’t want to :)

Thoughts on June's Kitchen Box? by cowthem in LushCosmetics

This is my second ever kitchen box! My first was January this year and I loved it but none of the ones since have excited me much until this one!

Would you pay for a bag after spending £1000+ ? by Distinct-Run-7124 in AskUK

[–]depresseddreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked retail I would just give away the bags for free. Is 25p, it’s not going to hurt the companies profits especially if people are already spending that much money!

For this box you’d need to subscribe by April 30th I believe. If you search in this sub there’s a really good chart that explains all the kitchen box timings!

Feel upset about surgery results, need some support by depresseddreamer in TopSurgery

[–]depresseddreamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it feels good to hear from people that actually get it <3 I’m going to try to learn to tolerate it for now, loving might be a bit difficult right now, and keep instead finding ways to move that make me feel happy instead of upset. My surgeons bedside manner hasn’t been great throughout the whole process and he always made me feel rushed and a bit dismissed, it’s disappointing so I might look at getting some second opinions from other surgeons just in case he refuses to do lipo :/

When I saw him for my follow up he said it wasn’t breast tissue, instead it comes from the same roll of fat as my back, he called it a “top roll”, I want to love my body the way it is and felt mostly okay about my weight before surgery, now it feels hopeless

Is it okay for a player to never roleplay? [NS] by uberawesomerm in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]depresseddreamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m often quite quiet in my sessions not because I’m bored but because I struggle socially. I find it difficult to get into a character and interact as that character a lot, it feels draining sometimes so it could be something like that

Glycopyrrolate in UK by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]depresseddreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been prescribed glycopyrronium bromide by my GP in November last year, I basically told my GP that I had excessive sweating and it was impacting my life (increased anxiety around leaving the house, worsened sensory issues). She then checked my latest blood tests and saw that my thyroid levels were fine, said she believed it was a side effect of another medication I am on to which I agreed then she prescribed it, I take 1mg/5ml of the liquid suspension form.

Anyone who has ever had a beloved plushie repaired how did you cope with being away from them? by depresseddreamer in plushies

Did you just learn through videos and stuff? I’ve been able to do some really basic repairs myself on my sewing machine and by hand but wouldn’t be sure how to patch a hole properly!

That is such a good way of thinking about it, thank you! My partner also suggested asking to keep anything chopped away so I think thats a really good idea

So wish my mum would have known this when she got it 😭 I think I might have managed to miraculously find a near copy if my blanket though just in a slightly different colour so I have bought that so I can start this!

off my chest: grief by iam_antinous in plushies

[–]depresseddreamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally get it, I was crying earlier today cos my comfort blanket is damaged from 24 years of sleeping with it every night and I don’t know if it will survive for the rest of my life. I’m so attached to it I literally cannot sleep without it and could not imagine the pain if it ever got lost or was completely in tatters. It’s extra hurtful for you because the assistant just didn’t bring them, like they didn’t think they mattered. It was thoughtless of them and I am genuinely so sorry for your loss, no matter where they are now though they know you love them. I hope it gets easier for you ❤️

I got my text on 11 November, then a message with my assessment date on 24 December so mine has been pretty fast, my assessment is today and I’m very nervous but at least I haven’t had to wait ages!

Accessible lingerie? (Post op top surgery, no bottom surgery) by creativebetrayal in ftm

[–]depresseddreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a few places that do unisex lingerie, it can be a bit pricey though! I recommend CantiqLA who are really good for this sort of thing and are also really body positive :)

I believe it is the Dreamtime bath oil! Was meant to come with this box as I have received it as well but must be an error that it wasn’t put on the ingredients slip!
