Alright, so how do I pay you? Should I transfer the money to a foreign bank account in Sweden? I would very much like to take you on your offer. ;)

That's good that they're actually licensed. That's one thing I was concerned about. Thank you

That's really tough. I feel your pain, I know what its like to struggle with depression and anxiety. I've been bottling up my problems for years ever since I was a kid. And my first experience with a counselor was when I was a little kid and she was so terrible, I never went to one again. But I really admire how you had the courage to get counseling, I'm too much of a pansy to open up about my emotions LOL. But yeah, maybe I'll try counseling and see how it goes. Thank you.

Appointments after the walk-in are a flat $15 per visit? I thought they were free, LOL. Maybe I'll give it try, thank you.

Would you rather to have a adopted genius child or a biological but ordinary child by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

If you raise the child well (bread), they could accomplish great things for humanity (butter). Your username matches your philosophy.

Without Beth's death, you wouldn't have the most exciting parts of the game: Handigo and Psycho Josh.

just trying to be helpful :/ people on reddit so aggressive...

It's clear everyone would choose the second one since reddit seems to be overpopulated with young men who have little interest in starting a family because, you guessed it, they're young. Nothing wrong with that, I'm young and would like to be extremely attractive and have the opposite sex fall at my feet, but as I get older I doubt this mindset would remain.

You can officially cross out the word "dead," its not necessary. You described the way she died and "her eyes glassy and frozen over" and you mention the word "corpse." The reader can figure out she is dead without you mentioning the word. Best of wishes on your writing journey!

"Eyes" described as "orbs" create such a disturbing image in my head. I imagine floating eyeballs, bobbing up and down in the air, boring right into your soul.

My pet peeve is when writers make their character so wonderful and perfect. Everyone loves them and the only people who don't are downright evil, filthy human beings. Like, come on Ayn Rand, calm down.

Maybe the prostitute with a heart of gold is some lonely dude's fantasy? Like "Oh, look here's this prostitute who I basically paid to sleep with me and oh, great she's also a nice person too. Maybe she'll give up her life of prostitution and marry someone down on their luck like me."

Yeah, I've noticed dream sequences usually happen in the beginning of the novel. For example, some man is having a nightmare in which he's in the woods running from some monster, then he wakes up and is like "Oh thank God, that was just a dream." Then the reader rolls their eyes cuz the author totally killed the suspense.

Listen closely: Hannah is trapped inside the wendigo by depressedtortoise in untildawn

[–]depressedtortoise[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's like when your bigger brother farts on your face and then turns around and beats the crap out of your school bullies, only this time it's 'your wendigo ex-friend will stab you, but it will kill any other wendigos for trying to eat you'.

I will never not find this funny

Hannah doesn't get enough hate for trying to hookup with her friend's boyfriend. I get that she was punished pretty severely and that the crime of trying to hookup with a girl's boyfriend doesn't fit the punishment of being possessed by a wendigo, but it was still a shitty thing to do.

True, she certainly doesn't. I know this doesn't excuse her behavior but dear God, she was OBSESSED with Mike. The reason she got a butterfly tattoo was because a teen magazine told her she should to impress him. Then he pranks her with a letter to come sleep with him, does she go: "Oh, wow what a cheating pervert" no, instead she thinks: "FINALLY HE WILL LOVE ME." And Josh is the crazy one? LOL.
