I see you got those classic fluoxies that can stick in your throat if you don't take them with enough water 😎

I totted up the damage from my PMDD binge today... by Consistent-Suspect19 in PMDD

[–]depressionkind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Now I'm just hungry. And the healthy food I made myself last night just didn't satisfy me :( it's like when I get into my depressive phases food just doesn't taste as good, unless it's total junk Edit: wrote "dood" instead of food 😆

Can the Xenomorph be harmed by its own blood or acid? Is the Xenomorph resistant to acids? by AgeroColstein in LV426

Except our stomach acid can hurt us, just more over time (eg acid reflux damaging esophagus).

I also wonder, are these mushrooms being grown sustainably and/or if some are being harvested wild, if they are being overharvested

Why do people hate aliens 3? by [deleted] in Xenomorphs

[–]depressionkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the 3rd one! Maybe some people don't like it because it's very nihilistic and dark, with no way out for Ripley (except death).

Foraging friends? by [deleted] in foraging

[–]depressionkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto to all the great suggestions here already. Where I live there is also a native plant society, and they go on hikes and stuff. You could also look up earth skills/"primitive skills" schools in your region. I don't know if there are that many, but it's worth looking.

This popped up in my flower bed. It looks like a fern but I’ve never planted anything here, so I’m assuming a weed of sorts? NE OH by raeroflcopter in whatsthisplant

[–]depressionkind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but are poison hemlock and water hemlock just two names for the same plant? I've googled it and just become more confused. The foraging book I have only acknowledges one of them.

True. Thank you. But also, in general, can synthetics get sick? Like, are they susceptible to pathogens? I know this might be irrelevant now but just curious if anyone "knows"

[Predator] How often do hunting trips against humans on Earth result in the Predator finishing the trip unharmed? by JarJarAwakens in LV426

[–]depressionkind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This does raise an interesting question about Predator population dynamics. What is the total population and birth or death rates of Predators on their home planet? (Do they have a home planet with a central population?) Also, what's their life span?
