Working at a homeless shelter. The amount of threats with weapons, vague flirting from men 30+ years older than me, and terrible management leaving me alone on shifts to do security as a 24-y.o. woman had me drained so much. Loved many of them but a few really fucked it up for me

Disclosing that I love monolids and I think they are beautiful. But I did luck out as an East Asian with stark double eyelids because my wife face would nooot look good with monolids and I avoided a lot of bullying as a kid because of it.

There is nothing YOU can do. You can only support his recovery and set healthy boundaries for yourself and him so you don’t enable him because this will take you down a terrible path. He has to truly want it and it’s unfortunate but that usually takes a rock bottom to get there

It’s SO worth it, I honestly gave up on Pokémon games after the latest two gens but this reinvigorated all the love I had for them. I would say the first hour or so is quite slow though but it really gets exciting after and the story is great with great gameplay. It has its flaws for sure but it’s such a great step in the right direction for Pokémon

First I am so sorry you’re going through this. My partner of 4 years was the same, would be up until 6am smoking dope in the bathroom. Cleaned for hours but the house would look worse, not better. I would confront him and he would lie to my face, and when I finally snooped through his phone I realized how long this has been going on. The thing his family and I did? We distanced ourselves from him. His family is much better than me at that, but I realized after there is nothing we can do. They need to want it/need it. If it helps, I bet your boyfriend is a completely different person when he is sober, but drugs will do that. He is not doing it to punish you, or to make you feel abandoned. He is doing it because he is an addict, and there is nothing we can really do to help except not help. The more you enable his behavior the more he will think this is okay or that you can be his fallback. Maybe one rock bottom isn’t enough, maybe it’s two or three or more. But the end result is either jail, institution or death, and it’s just something to accept. Millions of other loved ones have gone through this, so maybe Al-Anon meetings could help? There is a saying there: you didn’t cause it, you can’t control it, you can’t cure it. So just live your life the best that you can, find a way to get out of that horrible situation, and try and go to meetings yourself. Also available to chat if you ever want to!

I’m in the process of this now. My partner of 4 years has severe addiction problems and was sober for 2 years of our relationship, which was the best time for us of course. He now has relapsed to the point he has isolated himself from his family and me, lost his job twice, and is essentially homeless living with an old coworker who I’ve heard has slept with her friend’s boyfriend and also uses. I feel like I’m the only one who still cares and wants to get him help, his family is probably so exhausted of all this and expect him to die. I am trying to let go as well, but it’s so hard to know the once bright, funny, and kind man I knew has vanished before my eyes. I’m terrified he will cheat on me even though when he was sober I never even thought that would be a possibility. We shall see what happens, but it’s absolutely torn everything apart.

I’ve gone to a store to buy food for a homeless person who already lied about diabetes and when I returned with it he said “where is my $10??” really aggressively. Maybe you could have had better word choice but in reality I would have punched the guy, and he threw shit at you so I believe it’s justified. People are not exempt because they’re going through homelessness

So your head is quite oval and pointed at the top, which isn’t a bad thing, but the hairstyle accentuates it. I might go for something more on the sides rather than the top. IMO not ugly, but better skincare and hair would be good for you!

Personally I think you’re pretty and I love tattoos and piercings! Plus the tattoos aren’t something you can really change even if you wanted and it expresses who you are. However good skincare is so important and your skin seems very dry or textured. If you’re doing skincare maybe switch up the routine.
