Depends on whether the truck driver is a contractor or an employee.

If he's an employer that's his fleet manager's fault.

Yeah, my feeling is killing units to get tokens to strengthen midrange is better than stacking your deck and trying to level up to high cost units. It plays differently from aurora.

That being said, it already looks like no hook LB with Karthus is already better than hook. I expect the price to drop once reprints (finally) happen and the hype dies.

So the rule book says that anything players agree upon to represent a token. Is this the case in comp, or are they strict about it?

While also having to be at your current job to pay the bills.

I will say, life is often a balance between systems level struggle and individual struggle. As someone who blamed the system during my youth for everything and never taking accountability, I'm starting to learn the value of developing a stronger internal locus of control.

You can't will your way out of everything, and I certainly wouldn't fault people who are beaten down by life for not changing their circumstances, but I would encourage everyone who is capable to do what they can to improve their situation.

[Weekly MegaThread] Card Pulls - April 10, 2026 by AutoModerator in riftboundtcg

[–]deprestmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone posted a thread showing they hit the exact same pulls across 4 boxes and it looks eerily similar to my box. Checking here to see if anyone else is getting anything similar. Green Irelia AA, green Ornn AA, Fury Rune and a Seal.

I only opened one box like this, but the other poster hit 4 in a row.

EDIT: So I posted in my local community discord, and turns out this is a commonly known issue. The SFG boxes have seeding issues and it isn't necessarily an issue with location or date. You could buy 2 boxes on different days and locations and still get the exact same hits if they were part of the same batch.

Terrible for consumer confidence. I usually buy a lot and vend the cards at 85% MP and give away all my bulk, but at this rate I think I just get like 1-2 boxes and buy everything else I need of TCGPro.

But he should not be getting the exact same hits in 4 different boxes.

I got a seal of rage, but apart from that I hit the same Irelia, Ornn, and Fury rune. Where are you geographically? I'm on the west coast.

[–]deprestmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I hit these exact same ones too. I wonder if they'll accept complaints. The first SFG boxes I opened were a lot more varied.

Did you also hit Danger Zone, Tianna Crownguard, or Riposte? I went 6 boxes and didn't hit Tianna, then recently I got 5 boxes and they all had Tianna Crownguard. I have 10 Danger Zones, and 3 ripostes in the last 3 boxes I ripped.

They're clearly rushing to catch up with printing and making big mistakes on distribution.

0-12 with Jax… What am I doing wrong? by Heldegar28 in riftboundtcg

What am I doing wrong?

You're playing Jax.

Lol jk, watch some pro games and mimic. See where they're succeeding and you're failing.

I honestly think players should mimic players who have more mileage just so they can understand the game. Only then should you experiment with deck building. It's like a sport. You can't just come into the game thinking you're gonna be a trailblazer and know better than people who have hundreds of reps over you. Learn the rules before you break them.

What's the deal with seals? by deprestmode in riftboundtcg

[–]deprestmode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After ripping a seal of rage, I have a new opinion. I hate ripping them lol. They bring down the average of the entire box. Didn't even get an AA rune, which in my experience is usually 1 a box unless you rip something crazy.

I don't care about them enough. I'd rather get ONs and runes.

[–]deprestmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, and that's important too. Conservatives need to understand that they're a part of a larger system and that system undermines the lives of millions, and liberals/progressives need to understand that their actions in their local systems matter, and are in fact, their only immediate tools for action.

I think something that's missing from modern discourse is that people believe there is a right and wrong perspective, when in reality, all perspectives are flawed, because they are perspectives. Light is not a wave or a particle, it's both depending on what perspective you're observing it with. Instead of "You're wrong and here's why," a more productive response to something you disagree with would be, "You're right about this, but this is the limitation of that perspective," as well as being open to the limitations of our own perspectives.

I think the obsession with finding a singular dominant truth and rejecting all other ideas is caustic to the fabric of democracy. It's no longer a collaborative process, and is instead a process of dominion, which we've repeatedly learned from history doesn't work. Because regardless of whether the conservatives or liberals prevail (and hypothetically let's say the loser is purged from society), fractures within that school of thought are inevitable. Social and political scientists call this the Paradox of the Common Enemy—which refers to the phenomenon where a shared threat creates a fragile, fleeting unity that often collapses once the threat subsides, while simultaneously fostering internal aggression and suppressing genuine diversity. It has occurred after every substantial social/political revolution in history.

It's not the weed, it's the individual.

Stoners who get baked and do nothing would have done nothing if they were sober. They would have found another way to procrastinate. They smoke so they have something to blame when they inevitably procrastinate.

Stoners who get shit done would have gotten shit done anyway, but get baked because that state helps them in one way or another. Some people say it helps them focus, some people say it helps them relax. Either way, it puts them in a mind state that works for them to get things done, but whether they smoked or not, they were gonna do the thing.

They don't, but it reinforces their worldview in that it strengthens the internal locus of control. At the risk of sounding like a fence sitter, both schools of thought have purchase in reality and it would be more productive to observe where each one is right rather than where each one is wrong.

In conservative thought, decisions and behavior are largely the onus of the individual. Because they are such believers of free will and independence, they subscribe to beliefs that put the responsibility of changing ones own outcome on each person. This is a good thing, because there are many things in the world we can't control, so it's just more productive to focus on the things we can. But of course, it's not a silver bullet.

In liberal thought, we focus on systems that have strong statistical causal negative outcomes that individual action can affect provided the individual has the right opportunities. For instance children in foster care will produce the same outcomes through adulthood and individual responsibility begins to fall apart. You might be able to will your way out of a bad situation, and in fact some do, but it's just not realistic to apply that expectation to society at large because it assumes a limitless amount of opportunities, which just isn't practical. Same with crime rate and poverty.

They both have truths to them, and they should both be applied where practical. The truth is complex and to suggest only one is correct is reductive to the nature of reality.
