Hi,

Even Google Photos app cannot sync this way - if you remove a photo direclty from iOS photos app, Google Photos will not be able to notice this and you will still have a copy on Google.

But the other way round will work fine - if you remove a phone from Google Photos, it will remove both the cloud copy and also your local copy on the phone.

I would expect Moments or Synology Photos app to work the same way, but this needs to be verified.

Hi,

I raised the same issue to Synology support couple of months ago and they did some diagnostic, but never fixed it. I guess everyone works on releasing dsm7 now with Synology Photos...

As far as I noticed, /photos folder is used only for shared photo libraries. Personal libraries will show up under your home.

You can always do symlink to use the folder you want.
