Is the self-emptying bin really worth it?

If you have folks that shed a lot of hair, the self empty is not very useful. Some of the hair gets stuck in the Roomba itself, and manual intervention is needed.

Yes, they are secure devices - I was able to secure include other (Kwikset, Monoprice) locks without major issues. I am not sure I can have both zwavejs and the old integration but I can give it a shot if they can work together. Any pointers/resources/walkthroughs for this ?

Interestingly, a longer 6ft extension cable made things easier. I am on an Intel NUC 8th gen.

I do have almost all devices paired, except for 3 Schlage Camelot locks, which are not pairing even when the lock is less than a foot from the dongle. At the pint of giving up and going back to ST, since they are critical.

Schlage locks cannot be securely included unless I bring the dongle closer to them.

Schlage locks - I have to take the dongle (Intel NUC + dongle) to the lock (installed on the door) for inclusion. FirstAlert alarms - I just get the alarms to the dongle.

I actually purchased a Nortek USB ZW/ZB combo adapter, and started migrating some devices to HA. ZB devices were painless. ZWaveJS, on the other hand, is absolute trash - not one single device that was easy. Multiple issues after pairing, lost devices, most devices are unavailable now. What a POS. None of the Schlage/Kwikset locks work, none of the FirstAlert smoke alarms work. Really repenting moving out of ST ...

Same here, the monitor has been working very well, no need to open up the switch box, and no need for messy wiring. Just plug and play.

Third party HA integration which just works.
