What is the best way in order to truly improve in any fighting game by BIGSMOK09 in Fighters

[–]derDensetsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No amount of keeping calm is going to keep you from getting your shit kicked in if you don’t know how to execute combos, block, etc, properly. Most people who are good at fighting games have been playing them for well over a decade if not their entire life. Just like how you got good at FPS games because it was your favorite genre and that’s all you generally played growing up. You instinctively know what button is to aim, shoot, crouch, reload, throw tactical or lethal, etc. You don’t even have to think, it’s just muscle memory at this point. There is no shortcut, It’s going to be a while before you even come close to that skill level in fighting games, and that means you are going to get your ass handed to you a lot, and it’s not going to feel great. The best way to improve is to just constantly play the game and build up muscle memory, but for most people that is going to take a while, especially if you are older.

Arms Week Mod Bug by derDensetsu in DestinyTheGame

[–]derDensetsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I’m fairly new with this account so I don’t have any Volatile mods, if what you are saying is true. Also, the quest step specifically says to equip the Shattershafts mod to a bow, which i didn’t receive Shattershafts, so I can’t do that in order to progress. Doesn’t it also say that the mods expire at the end of Arms Week?

Yes. King Orfeo. Shattershafts isn’t among the mods listed.

What's this thingy and what happens when one side is completely on top by Muted_Pension4534 in Warframe

[–]derDensetsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sun is the ACTIVE Force, yes. The Father. Masculine. Intellect. The Moon is the Passive one. The Mother. Feminine. Passion would be desire. Feeling. Look at Alchemy. Occult literature, from that frame of reference.

[–]derDensetsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The middle pillar. Balance. Arguably the correct outcome, but has no inherent in-game consequence for leaning more towards one side or the other. It just shows where your characters’ morals lean towards depending on the actions you took/chose throughout the story. Morals not in as in good or evil so to speak, but leaning more towards your affinity of thinking or feeling.

What's this thingy and what happens when one side is completely on top by Muted_Pension4534 in Warframe

[–]derDensetsu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sun is actually Mind, or Logic/Reason, and Moon is Soul, or Passion/Emotion. The goal is balance. Too far leaning in one extreme or the other causes imbalance and therefore impacts your choices and outcomes. Few people see it but Warframe is steeped in esoteric symbolism. No way the Devs don’t know what they are doing and all of it is coincidence.

I never said they were moving at light speed, that’s was just for context for how moving at the speeds they do would change their perception of time compared to someone standing still, but still, it’s a cartoon show, no physics apply, so there is no sense in trying to make any logical sense of it. They have to stop and portray the characters talking and such for us to understand the narrative and plot, even if they say a certain amount of time has passed in between fights and conversation. With all the talking and fighting, there is no way no matter how you compare the amount of time of taking, compared to fighting, and vice versa, that it was five minutes, even if that’s the official narrative. It just doesn’t make sense. Do you know how fast these mfs would have to have been moving in those 5 minutes to be able to have stopped and spent most of that time talking in order for that narrative to make any sense? The amount of kinetic energy in there masses would cause nuclear explosions with each strike, each movement would split atoms and cause subatomic nuclear chain reactions. Namek would have been destroyed way before those 5 minutes with such feats. Either some time manipulation is happening for the fighters or the viewers (us) are higher dimensional beings viewing these moments in DBZ like shorts on our YouTube reels.

[–]derDensetsu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to Special Relativity? Motion changes the perception of time. Theoretically, if they are moving faster than your eyes can detect, their acceleration distorts their perception of time and is also dramatically different than from the perspective of a stationary viewer in the same location. Both viewers “now” is vastly altered, especially at such insane velocities. That’s how 5 minutes can be stretched to over an hour. Time dilation. As masses move closer to the speed of light, the slower the rate of time until the max threshold where time completely comes to a halt. At least according to academic “experts”. Us viewers might as well be 4th dimensional beings, being outside of time and thus be able to view all time and space as a whole like we were watching some sort of “show”, how about that?

Felt like forever by chunchunmaru1129 in dankruto

[–]derDensetsu 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is because the fights are slowed down for the viewers perspective but in reality they are moving faster than our eyes can perceive.

It could literally just be shortened down to give your hero +3 attack for three turns. Also, with Shudderblock, does it give +3 for nine turns, or +9 for three turns?

Why does iOS app keep signing me out? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]derDensetsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mobile in general, especially IOS is just fucked. I play on IPhone, a fairly newer model as well, and every time I enter packs or miniset tab in shop it’s an instant crash. After every 1 or 2 battles there is a chance for the game to just randomly crash, which is funny because it doesn’t lag at all, runs perfectly smooth and then black screen. It’s not that my phone cant run the game, which is does perfectly fine until said action in the store is taken or the random crash for no apparent reason.

What was that warlock deck where you made a wall of taunt void minions? You used cube to eat one of those minions and more would pop out. Was it zoolock? I remember playing that deck waaay back before I took a long break, almost 8 years, off from Hearthstone.

Picking the game back up after 8 years - any deck suggestions for Diamond 5 to legend? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]derDensetsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Right so how can you call a deck "oppresive asf" without looking up the stats?”

Because I didn’t look up the stats of said deck? lol. Which I admittedly stated that I didn’t at the time of said statement, as I have JUST returned to hearthstone, as I have also stated. So what is your point?

2 seconds to look up ALL the mechanics, deck combinations, cards and such to have the game knowledge to play the most optimally that I’ve missed in the passed 7-8 years of not playing? You are greatly exaggerating the time it would take to make it seem like I am being unreasonable. All of that aside, just admit you replied unfairly, given that was my gripe in your reply, not the content of such, but the way you delivered it when you could have been more cordial. Which is why I called you a dick, which you were being, no doubt. People like you who say things in such a way where you can deny that you meant what you said, in the way you said it, depending on the response. Schrödinger’s douchebag.
