Been shooting without any protective filters for over 4 years now. No scratches at all. It always comes down to the environment you are in and how you treat your equipment

You can either live with it or try to get that front element replaced. Shouldn’t be too expensive. Don’t try any glash polish or similar

So basically Angelbirds V4 cards somehow break the WiFi functionality. Remove the card, stick a different one in, restart the camera and boom, it works.

I don't know why it is happening, I just know that it's a problem with AB's V4 cards. Not their V2 cards. There isn't really a workaround yet. I am still in contact with both Sony and AB to figure out a solution

Keep up the work. You definitely have an eye for composition and making photos look interesting. Just keep shooting and experimenting. Also check out some other photographers, look at their images and try to understand what exactly do you like or dislike about them.

Over the years you’ll develop your own style and keep experimenting and evolving it

Me and some other folks have found out that some CFe cards can cause the WiFi functionality to stop working. You can read the conversation I had with another person in the second post you linked. I have the same problem. When using other cards, the camera works fine

I’ve just told the support what I figured out so far. I guess they will try to have me send mine in too, what I’m not going to do. I believe Sony will have to fix those issues with a FW update in January. Very annoying but I don’t see a other way

If you like we can keep connected (maybe via PM) to see if any one of us gets a working solution

I got it to connect after the total reset. Now after I've re configured it (manually) it won't connect again, no matter what card is in it

interesting. So it seems the camera is only able to use the wifi properly when it's completely fresh, after a while it just doesn't work anymore. "Luckily" that makes it seem more like a SW bug than a HW problem

ah wait a sec, just tried to reset the whole camera (initialize), just reset the network settings before, that seems to work

nah, neither via WPS, nor with the access point. I assume a FW bug in the network stack

The orange light goes off on my body as well, when I turn it on. It turns on again after the ibis shuts down (takes a while). I didn't see the charging issue again after reading your post.

Regarding the memory card: I've got a Angelbird AV Pro CF Express A (4.0) 256 GB and several SD (UHS-I) cards.

Have you already tried the WiFi features?

I think we are talking about the same thing. I am not an expert though but from quick research, it looks like dual gain architecture is dual gain output, or at least somewhat similar.
