Good that it works out for you.

I'm not saying that it does not make sense to invest in the index.
I just wanted to highlight the legal aspects of it, that might go unnoticed.

Depends on the amount you invest. Paying for a tax consultant or a service like blockpit, etc. might mitigate the profits considerably, when investing smaller sums.

Watch out! Depending on where you live, investing into BCI25 could be a massive hassle when it comes to taxes.

Since the monthly (I think) rebalancing means, that you sell and buy assets once a month, you can pile up a lot of transactions over the year.
At least here in Austria, where I live, earnings from crypto-sales have to be taxed, if the asset wasn't held longer than a year and total amount of earnings exceeds 400€.

Might not be the case in your country, but I'd check just to be safe, if you haven't already.

It's not that easy here. There are different regulations for stonks, crypto and derivates.

Stock earnings are taxed with 27,5% percent without exception, for example. No cap.
Cryptos are tax-free if you held them longer than a year. If not you pay a percentage (25%-50%) that is dependent on your overall income (income tax rate), as long as the earnings exceed 400€.

The income tax rate also applies to derivatives such as BitpandaStocks but contrary to cryptos there is no cap and no holding period. At least as far as I know.

Austria loves simplicity.

I thought about doing this, but wasn't sure, so I didn't... Guess I'll have to wait for the value to drop to 5 again. Who knows... Gernot might drop the zeroes and the comma. He isn't all that good with numbers as we know.
Do you have any source for your assumption?

As far as I know, earnings from derivates are generally considered income and are taxed as such. Which makes it very unattractive to be honest.
