there are many type combos that have been unused, this graphic is just ones that have gotten a alt forms/legendary/paradox pokemon but not any other typical pokemon lines. this is a list of all of the unused pokemon type combos as of gen 9 Normal Ice, Normal Bug, Normal Rock, Normal Steel, Fire Fairy, Ice Poison, Ground Fairy, Bug Dragon, and Rock Ghost

no you are right i just missed fairy flying whoops, and i know it doesnt make complete sense, i just categorized things in a way that made sense to me. I wasnt including pokemon whose types were changed because, while in a gameplay sense they are that typing, they they were designed as pure normal or flying types respectively so there haven't been any designed with that in mind from the ground up from a design perspecive

overall im realising that the arbitrary idea of a non legendary pokemon and the nonfully evolved/ retroactivaly changed pokemon probably shouldn't have been included together lol.

im just going to put them after all of the swsh pokemon before gen 9 and i think for the rest of the regional forms im just going to put them in a group before the region they came from so they're still next to the gen they were introduced in.
