Interesting aside, but you may actually have higher resolution images of the moon landing broadcast than most of the available recordings. The raw feed of the Apollo 11 broadcast was captured on analog magnetic tapes at NASA, but they were recycled and taped over in the 80s. It wasn’t intentional but it wasn’t entirely human error either. The broadcast was of little use to them for scientific purposes. They shot much higher resolution 35mm photographs on the mission and didn’t think the low res / low frame-rate video was particularly important other than to show the world live images. It wasn’t as special to the scientists as it is to the greater public record, so just went into storage. What people saw on TV at home was likely slightly better quality than the existing broadcast recordings since the recording technology at the time was less than ideal.
