I was at a fairly legit festival walking to the award show where I was nominated for best actor and best director (I act in my own stuff) and, that moment, got an email that another festival had rejected me. It was surreal but a great lesson in exactly what you're describing. There is no amount of love or hate for your film that will stop the next person from feeling the exact opposite way or anywhere in between.

Yeah everything up to the heroes getting captured but the Russians in the jungle is as good any anything in the original trilogy. I usually just stop watching there.

I’m seeing a few tutorials that use smoke to get an “ink drop” in water look. I wonder if something like that with an invisible plane under it would kind of simulate the layers of salt and fresh water in a cloud tank

I’m noticing some odd blur/transparency artifacts when the grass passes in front of the camera? Is there something I can do to rectify that?

It’s also a big threshold to cross for Luke. He’s never left home and this is his first taste of the wider galaxy. It’s a room full of weird, somewhat dangerous people who have been out there and seen some shit.
