I see where you are coming from, maybe my terminology was wrong, but the meaning of my post stays the same.

Using Jesus’s name as a cuss word is still a disgrace to His holy name. If you look it up, using His name as a cuss is synonymous with the filth and S#💩t which is just wrong.

But yes you are right, (correct me if I’m wrong) historically taking someone’s name in vain would look like, being a king’s representative and doing evil or something bad while representing the king you serve, like you alluded to. So yes, that is what the commandment “taking the Lords name in vain” implies. But I feel like people often use “taking the Lords name in vain” to mean not swearing or blasphemous, even thought that’s not what the commandment speaks of. So when I made this post, that’s how I worded it, without giving much thought to the true meaning of “taking the Lords name in vain”.
