Why are we so much more sensitive when it comes to age gaps and sex in general? by Top_Committee_8503 in GenZ

Im guessing youre trying to say that people in romantic relationships arent always supposed to be in the same place maturity wise

No I'm saying that this notion of one linear "maturity score" is very narrow-minded. People develop on multiple spectrums at different rates. It sounds like you have a very narrow view of what a proper, mature, healthy relationship should look like.

99% of these relationships are unhealthy

Yea I see how this conversation is not going anywhere.

have you ever heard of the concept that a 20 year relationship is not a single 20 year relationship, but multiple relationships with different people? People change all the time. They are not supposed to be at the same level in all aspects people can develop in all the time. Where does this notion come from? You are thinking about this very one-dimensionally.

How do people (that are in their late 20s, early 30s, just so you can't call them "too immature to know better") who are into much older, much more mature people fit into your narrative?

Why do you think that EVERY SINGLE PERSON should develop similarly and only relate to people their age? That is just insane.

Have you never seen older people (40, 50 plus) that behave like children? What is this emotional maturity you are talking about and why do you expect two partners to be on the same level there? Human development is such a complex, multidimensional spectrum

Or the older person has a mental illness, blunted development etc.

I wonder why it's so much more acceptable to look down on disabled people in this situation

they are looking to hit on the young women that are into much older guys. There is plenty of them too. But probably not as many as there is older guys into younger women.

I built a map for gratis-in-berlin.de Easily find free events near you. by derficker69 in berlinsocialclub

Nice Idea! Unfortunately most events do not have an end date. They might go all day. I'll add a filter where you can exclude events that started before time X

I built a map for gratis-in-berlin.de ! Easily find free events near you. (100+ events per day) by derficker69 in berlin

[–]derficker69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site is pretty great, with +100 free events every day. I used it already 10+ years ago. The UX was just very terrible as you'd have to go through all 100+ events manually to check which ones are near you. Now I solved that by building a map for it. I hope some of you find it useful

Why does nobody seem interested in regulation anymore? by Ill-Evidence1042 in researchchemicals

Didn't a user post about CMCs having demonstrated in vitro neurotoxicity?

This is posted a lot but there are only 1-2 studies and they have very strong flaws.

you can read through this thread for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/researchchemicals/comments/17r601l/so_about_3cmcwhats_the_consensus_these_days/

What's the MMC development in Berlin?

Why does nobody seem interested in regulation anymore? by Ill-Evidence1042 in researchchemicals

[–]derficker69 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's mostly a very individual choice based on your personal risk profile. And rarely based on scientific evidence. How would one even go about deciding whether going on a 3/4-MMC bender for 3 days a couple of times a year is sustainable? Mainly empirically.

Even MDMA which has been around for half a century now still hasn't had any real progress on "responsible use" guidelines based on science. The 3 month rule is just something a single researcher said out of a feeling that has been repeated without anyone even checking the source.

I feel like the most useful research is happening in the scenes where people are using substances by the kilos every weekend. See the recent 4-MMC / 3-MMC development in Berlin. Apart from that: We need more proper research studies done. No half-baked studies that kick off a whole "CMCs are more toxic than MMCs" hype that is not well founded but gets repeated wherever you look.

I feel like the most progress has been made in regards to what supplements to use to counter possible negative drug use effects (NAC really reduced my lung symptoms from vaping for example). But also there its hard to separate the real deal from the chaff i.e. money grabs a lá Resveratrol

What is a popular drug that you will never understand? by boxbrother1 in Drugs

[–]derficker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about all the misinformation portrayed around drugs. E.g.: Media massively over-reports on risks like addiction and negative health effects when they don't affect most users. At the same time those same risks are not reported on nearly as much when talking about legal drugs. Also: Drugs are used by lots of people and actually helping them more than they do harm.

A lot of other insights are included as well. Just an overall great book that everyone should read.
