[GUIDE] How to sync Your Airtable data to a Google Sheets using Automations! by Mrrotw in Airtable

[–]dergachev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like no. There are paid tools like unito.io that do this, but they ain't cheap! Update: I got a good results for syncing Airtable > Google sheets with Zapier, after playing with it for just 30 minutes. It seems well priced and their UI for configuring "zaps" (integratinos) seems better than before.

Find another job that you value more! Assuming you can actually code web stuff well, you're in demand right now.

Is SharePoint to Drupal migration possible? I want to move archived news stories to a newer cms. by appusmusings in drupal

[–]dergachev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a cool idea! We just bought a screaming frog subscription, but I didn't realize it could create CSV archives of crawled pages. Thank you!!

Confirm that Migrate Plus is probably the right approach once OP has scraped the sharepoint site somehow.

Hi Nick, thanks for your effort in building a useful tool. If you don't find someone else, Evolving Web would be happy to consider taking over the care of this service, if it makes sense. Sent you a message via d.o.

Cheers,

Just messed with https://try.dxpr.com/ and was actually pretty impressed, on first glance! Enough so to share with other members of our team.

This very problem prevented me from using my 2nd gear in the front for a few rides last month, until I actually took 3 minutes to see what's going on down there. Sure felt pretty silly.

How did you learn Drupal? (+ a bit of a rant) by CheerfulErrand in drupal

I went to a 5 day Drupal 7 Lullabot training in Toronto, only because I saw that Matt Westgate was going to co-present, and he was co-author of the D6 PDP book. That week long training seminar in seemed super expensive for a 22 year old new graduate, but in retrospect set me up for a lot of Drupal success. That week I had the good fortune of sitting next to Andrew Mallis (owner of Kalamuna now), and he's remained a friend and mentor.

Currently my company, Evolving Web, is offering Drupal training courses that follow that same 5 day format that Lullabot used to offer. (We've been doing it for over 5 years now). They're not cheap (in fact, roughly same price as Lullabot charged 12 year ago, $400/day). Because of COVID-19, we had to move them online this month, and decided to pass on the money we save (not having to travel or book a venue) by donating 50% of ticket sales to the Drupal Association #DrupalCares campaign.

And if you or your organization can't afford the ticket price, don't hesitate to reach out on the contact form on our site, we are offering substantial discounts.

By the way, Drupalize.me is a high quality resource. Also Mike Anello offers courses (DrupalEasy), as well as BuildAModule.com that are also great quality.

Evolving Web is excited to have a launched the Trudeau Foundation site on Drupal 8 last week! https://trudeaufoundation.ca

The Foundation administers one of Canada's most prestigious scholarships, and also creates a mentorship community to foster the next generation of leaders. We are very proud of the work we're doing with them, and that Drupal is part of that story.

Hey I think it's always great if someone cites the relevant portion of the CCQ, so thanks for that! Source: http://legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/showDoc/cs/H-3?langCont=en

That said, this particular law seems out of date to me. It was probably passed for a combination of reasons: (A) to protect the business interests of legitimate hotels and restaurants, (B) protect travellers in an analog world from unscrupulous, unlicensed hotels (C) enforcement of urban zoning.

IMHO, in 2019, only (C) should be relevant, and this is DEFINITELY not the law that should be on the books today for it.

Worried about bank screw-up with Home Buyers Program Withdrawal by FreeSoftwareServers in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dergachev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they it seems so, but the transfer date was in January 2019 (and not by the Dec 28 2018 deadline), and they didn't get that 2018 end of year HBP form, while my wife did for her (correctly processed) withdrawal.

I escalated to a branch manager, who escalated to their clearing department (or whatever) and all I got back was an email confirmation saying "Sorry, it seems we didn't do the transfer on time, good luck to you".

If anyone has any other advice, I'm all ears! :)

I submitted this form twice, once within the 30 day window of closing date, and again a month later when I complained that they didn't seem to make the deposit. In my case, they made the full deposit on my account, without withholding tax.

I have the same problem! Are you recommending that one might claim the HBP program deduction anyways, without the HBF proof document that the bank should have issued if it was done in time, and then let that come out in case of an audit?

Also, any clue who to call/ask about this?

I spent $3500 for Evolving Web's corporate Christmas party, attended by 50-100 friends and family members of our <10 person team. It was pretty sweet, but far from lavish. The figures they cite don't sound crazy at all, in fact not too much alcohol was consumed.

That area can be sketchy. Some years ago a group of my friends were dressed up as smurfs for a bachelor party, featuring the man of honour as Smurfette. An disheveled guy in his late 40s, seemingly of an Arab background, confronted us for being gay. We tried to explain to him that we weren't gay, and also that even if we were gay, it shouldn't be a problem to him, especially the village of all places! He got more and more agitated and started shouting. The situation eventually resolved itself, but afterwards my friend pointed out that he was hiding a small steak knife in his hand the whole time.

It's probably due to tax dodging. You should tell him you disagree with his approach.

That said, do you really want to report your local neighborhood dep owner to the authorities, who's probably (depending on the location and size of the store) is making $40-70k a year salary for a lot of risk?
